"...had they been offered up by a Democrat instead of a Republican.." I believe the poster was referring to some of the domestic, so called anti-terrorism action taken by the POTUS, not the war itself. If x42 had pushed for the PATRIOT bill, the TIPS program, etc. we would have stormed DC to protest. Wish Bush, many of these same people just rolled over for it.

There is a time and a place for a diplomat's approach. There is a time and a place for a "G"'s approach.
The wise person knows when which approach is appropriate.

"What does MFJ stand for? "It stands for the March for Justice. Between 4000 and 5000 Freepers met at the Washington Monument on Halloween, '98 to protest the actions of the occupant of the White House.
Jim Robinson stated that he was going to station himself in front of the White House with a sign, some three weeks later a few friends joined him, but our numbers required a larger venue. I proudly carried Wisconsin's flag in the opening ceremony.

Dear Widow Fahrquar-bob,
Now that His Honor, the Congressman has gone to his just rewired, will you marry me?
I'm series.
To: First_Salute
Other Freepers have indicated a similar interest. So, after a suitable period of mourning (time to sober up and get the applications printed), a thread on Free Republic will be opened for that very purpose. Have your people call my people. We'll do lunch.
Ciao.

- Order a shotgun from the Sears and Roebuck catalog.
Well now, in fairness to those of us who believe there is a role for government in out lives, I would like to point out that Sears doesn't have a catalog anymore...
However, you may take a look at eBay and order anything you like including an old Sears catalog...for $0.95 and $10.95 shipping and handling and then look at that nice old Remington for $27.50...guess which year?
That said, what does this have to do with the topic again?

I am rarely confused on FR. Ah. That explains why you don't remember what you wrote at your anti-freeper site...

Ah. That explains why you don't remember what you wrote at your anti-freeper site...Interesting. Please tell us more.
To: harrowup
Yes, what is it that I wrote on NBAustin's old site, old chum Admiral? It was nothing derogatory about FR, if that is what bothers you, but somehow, I don't think you'll get around to enlightening any here after such a cryptic message. It's your forte, isn't it? To tease and leave a suggestion dangling, and dangle.Yaknow, I don't think I was confused at Anti-Freeping, either.
Are you fellow with the multiple personnas and CV's, too?

I wasn't refering to the war.
Domestic issues: TIPS, poindexters proposed database, etc.. that I was refering to when I made the comment.

I agree.
I have no idea why a little liberty is such a concern. We have been passing laws for hundreds of years, you can't just outlaw danger in every way, shape and form.. It can't be done.
And I am afraid that we will wind up miserable by trying.
Here's an argument the Libertarians will openly scoff at, but as I said earlier, these things are personal by nature.
Think for a moment the kind of overbearing, controlling police state it would take to impose the mark of the beast on American citizens?

So where you going ? And what's the big deal about being banned when you have cutouts ? Mr. Chapita ? Ask Sneakypete if it would have made more sense to just associate with people who were not beneath him ?
I've read much of the contribution you made here Pete . Some I liked . Some I did not . Some I learned from . Be good .

So you think that the reason I can't order a shotgun from the Sears catalog is because there is no Sears catalog?
Just go back to sleep.
I'll wake you if something important happens.

Everything in that particular post. Not anything he ever said. I consider you to be one of the other top 10 posters on FR.

To Sneakypete;
I agree with a lot of what you said here, and disagree with a bit of it. As in the past, I disagree with you on the military aspects of a coming war. Though we may share a similar view on the politics of going into this war. But I especially think you are wrong leaving at this time. Your real world, feet on the ground type sanity is needed here more now, than at any time before. If I were JR, I would reject your resignation, while backing the moderators who suspended you by continuing that suspension. I would then take a hard look at finding a method of monitoring the monitors. But I'm not him.
Having flown to the top of Leghorn in Laos a good many times, I salute you for having climbed it on foot. Your past bravery equals that of anyone here at FR. That act alone, is deserving of a minimal degree of respect.
Tonight, the Flag at FreeRepublic, will not be flying quite as high. But it will keep flying.

habs was doing a number on a popular poster at FR and he needed some dirt so he went to his old friend aligyrl at afCon and played footsie with the gang there.
The fact that he calls me Admiral certifies him as a two faced anti-freeper who should not be trusted under any circumstance.
He is also Canadian which cheapens his motives. He also brags that he is connected to the moderators...he has another moniker but I can't think of it at the moment.
