Look, I was a teenager in the late '60s. I have watched people over dose, I've watched people throw their lives away over marijuana.
I firmly believe we need the death penalty for dealing, ANY quanity. And much stiffer penalties for using.

Me too, that is the only way the law is going to change anytime soon.

Well, with the death penalty involved, how could it get more serious?
Perhaps you could torture drug users. Maybe kill thier families?
That taps my brain out for the "Worse then death penalty" ideas. Why dont you give it a shot?

I was in Vietnam in the late '60s. BFD. I firmly believe we need to follow and honor the CONSTITUTION. And people like you need to READ it and UNDERSTAND it. The Constitution puts limits on GOVERNMENT, especially FedGov. It does NOT put limits on we, the People, outside normal criminal things, which are STATE affairs.
Government is supposed to PROTECT THE RIGHTS OF ALL AMERICANS, not declare war on some because they ingest unapproved substances. Read the Founding Documents sometime and then recall the oath you took when you enlisted.

Since you seem to know so much about teenagers over-dosing and throwing their lives away over marijuana:
The DEA's Administrative Law Judge, Francis Young concluded: "In strict medical terms marijuana is far safer than many foods we commonly consume. For example, eating 10 raw potatoes can result in a toxic response. By comparison, it is physically impossible to eat enough marijuana to induce death. Marijuana in its natural form is one of the safest therapeutically active substances known to man. By any measure of rational analysis marijuana can be safely used within the supervised routine of medical care.:
