>>All it would take to get this thing started would be for one of them to be sent to federal prison for defending themselves. If the locals were to rise up and toss the feds out, there is no telling how many people who go there to back them up.<<
Very possible. As for the rest of us, some kind of tax revolt to go along with this, might aid those locals.

Thanks, great post. This reminds me of being a new Rhodesia with its mostly forgotten and certainly unloved people (American ranchers in this case), a new marxist increasingly violent proletariat swarming the borders from a hostile land (Mexico in this case) and a weak degenerate elite tossing away the good for the bad as long as they can stay in charge. I'm not a zealot in anyway, but this issue in AZ must be fought till the last survivors perish at the base of our American Masada or we prevail.

Sheriffs don't "order" Federal Law Enforcement to do much of anything, fella. Unless they want to experience being cuffed and stuffed. This "county authorities rule" idea is nonsense.

Thanks for the ping. This is one of the better articles describing the conditions people along the border live with. They are all more patient than I am.
When this administration did nothing about the borders after 9/11, it became clear that the massive federalization associated with Homeland Security was about something other than homeland security. Our infrastructure, quality of life, cultural identity, liberty and security are determined by the conditions we allow at the borders, and who we allow into this country -- Malvo and the millions of others that have no respect for our laws, our property, and our lives show this everyday. We are too blinded by PC and the worship of 'diversity' to be pragmatic about this mess, and the path we are on is toward something very ugly.
Merry Christmas from Georgia.

I wouldn't want to cross Cochise County Sheriff Larry Dever in his own bailiwick. Not even as a Feddie. The result would be an all out insurrection.
He is the one man in this county who has made the most effort to get DC off their fannies and people know it.
This one tiny little county has a spirit and mystique all its own. Cochise, Geronimo, Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday, Johnny Ringo, the Clantons and McLowerys, the Buffalo Soldiers. The spirit of the 19th Century lives on in the 21st -- and we're proud of it.

Re: John Ringo - did you know that there is no documentation of a single one of his gunfights - not that I doubt that he was in some.

They aren't going to do anything about it because illegal aliens are a tool they are using to destroy our sovereignty, and to create a new nation composed of Canada, the US,and Mexico."
No other explanation. This is reprehensible beyond words. Is there any time in history when any nation deliberately destroyed itself?

No,what is nonsense is thinking that feral authorities have the right to come into local areas and dominate the local elected authorities. If I were a sheriff and you tried this crap (cuffed and stuffed) with me,I would shoot you graveyard dead. If my local sheriff were to do this,I would not only stand up and applaud her for doing it,I would go to the courthouse and back her up. SHE is a elected official. YOU are a employee of a bureaucrat.

The sorriest SOB's around are the spineless and/or corrupt bastards in the RNC and the White House who not only permit the illegal alien problem to exist, but whose actions even encourage it. All the Border Patrol brass are doing is following the orders of their political masters. Can't be repeated too often - the Border Patrol brass is not involved in policy making.

Doesn't Idaho also have a growing illegal alien population?

It is going to take a lot of light shed on this subject to get the powers that be in Washington to do anything about it. Perhaps it's time to retire the powers that be.

Cmon. You have to assume that we can.
Don't they just keep making sure that their votes pour across the border? The closest we've gotten in the last 50 years to closing the border was Buchanan in the '96 primaries, and that's all over now. He's racist, those of us who agree with him are all racists, and the immigration issue is DOA. Good luck getting mainstream media traction on that whole 'lookit all the illegals on my webcam' notion--unless Soccer Mom realizes that her kids are in immediate trouble, she doesn't care. And Soccer Mom is still the primary voting bloc of concern to GWB and the Rats, so if she doesn't care, neither do either of the two big parties.
We might just as well kiss it goodbye and start stockpiling canned goods and ammo. Those of us who haven't started yet, that is.

Every state has a growing illegal population. There is growth in the hispanic part of the demographics. The farmers hire the illegals to help with the farm labor. There is a difference in that Idaho has a very small population. There is no pot of gold to lure illegals here to live off state welfare programs. There is hardly enough money to cover basics like police, fire, roads and schools. The tax rates are already at the maxima of the Laffer curve. Any higher rates would drive out more business. I'll bet they could LOWER the rates and steal some major league high tech businesses into the southeastern area. Idaho has great network connectivity, roads and rail transport.
The closest thing we have to "welfare" around here is the nearby Indian reservation. The feds pay them well to to do nothing. Most of them are morbidly obese. They run a big casino on the reservation and sell some handicrafts at exorbitant prices. The local bars help them deal with the disposable income that wasn't consumed at the restaurants.

This is where California is going fast. And I am looking forward to it.
That's why I am looking forward to the collapse of the entire state government of California. All programs and services will be cut to the bone which will force out a lot of low income types. And hopefully, they will tax enough people and jobs out of here, preferable millions where it too will affect the tax base in a very negative way. All the social services are just about choked off, roads, schools over crowded, and there is just very few, if any labor jobs left, only so many dishwasher and lawnmower postions open...... This is exactly why the destination for 90 percent of all illegal aliens is no longer California. This was all very predictable, and welcomed It I might add. LOL!
This is just what California needs. A complete collapse, under the shear weight of all this spending and illegal aliens. This is just what the doctor ordered. Paint it black, bring it on.
I hate to be so negative, but this is needed. Looking forward to it. The sooner the better.
