It is possible to respect George Washington, as a I certainly do, without also believing that everything he ever was Holy Absolute Truth. That seems to be what you believe and it is a seriously delusional belief.

But, but, but...how did his image get on the Great Seal of the so-called CSA, him being a big Union man and all?

You keep referring to this. What has it got to do with anything? Did the Confederates have no right to respect George Washington?

Perhaps, like you, the Confederates believed George Washington to be infallible; that would explain why they were unable to see that slavery was morally wrong.

You seem also to have your dates confused. Washington died in 1799 and was not around to take sides in 1861,
