Has ANYONE ever been imprisoned for smoking pot?

Liberteens come, and Liberteens go. But they seem to have an awful time with their own (and biggest - maybe only) issue - pot.
As far as anyone can tell, not ONE person has been placed behind bars for smoking pot. But the Liberteens paint an entirely different picture. They claim that HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS are behind bars for smoking.
Can anyone provide any proof either way?

Okay, let's turn this around.
Who claimed anyone was in jail for just smoking pot? And don't refer to the above quote you posted, one could also say that the person was claiming that people are in jail for being non-violent.

I met Jesus, quit drinking and drugging. Cigarettes are an entirely different addiction.I quit smokes because of the price. Just wait until it hits $10 a pack. Meet you on the other side...

"The question is - Has ANYONE ever been imprisoned for smoking pot?"
I dunno, but can you get popped for second hand smoke? I may have to turn myself in.

Back in the 70's, there was a person doing life in a ?Texas? prison for possession of ... one marijuana seed.Track it down. Let's get the whole story, the straight story, completely in context.

Okay, let's turn this around.Nope. No dice. The Liberteens have been trying that for years and it still doesn't work.
Maybe answer this - does the violence occur before being imprisoned - or after? (Any practical experience?)

"We're not talking about the guy who sells on the street corner,' Class said. "We're talking about the guy who flies the plane." Class said he did not know of any prisoners here simply for using drugs.
"We don't get sent to federal prison for smoking pot," Class said. "A lot of these people are criminals. The money these days is in drugs, so they sold drugs."

What a stupid question.
You can't smoke it unless you are in
possession of it.
Try walking into Police HQ and lighting a doobie.
You'll spend time...but you're right, it won't be for smoking it, just having it is enough.
PS. Are you for real?

In my opinion, the possession of a pot seed doesn't rise to legal level of first-degree murder. But, hey, that's just me. :) That is true and that is when states were allowed to treat drugs as they saw fit. Then came the Federal WOD and they forced states into federal sentencing guidelines . That is why I don't understand the anger from the pro-drug crowd about the WOD. If and when the Feds let states regain control over their approach to drugs, y'all may be in for rude shock.

Bill I-didn't-inhale Clinton was in possession of marijuana. Under his administration thousands of people were imprisoned for doing what he did.

Why is everyone having such a hard time answering simple questions this evening? Is the back yard potato still running at full steam, or what?

You forget his "out" (he claimed the only time he did it was when he was in GB). "I never broke the laws of the United States."

There's hemp seeds in bird seed. In a lab test they have been determined to be a prohibited substance.

As far as anyone can tell, not ONE person has been placed behind bars for smoking pot.Well, in 72 and 73 I assure you a half dozen guys spent at least a few days in the stockade almost every time I had Charge of Quarters duty and once when I was SGT of the Guard.
That does not include the guy who got high and took his bayonet to the helicopter. He spent a couple of days in the hospital (should have awaited a SOG with a better sense of humor), a few in the stockade and 3-5 in Levenworth.

Why is everyone having such a hard time answering simple questions this evening?I'm guessing it's because of the wine. What kind are you having?
