Name a single eye witness to the "evolutionary" beginning of the universe. Evolution is a philosophical position that attempts to explain the beginning of the universe, the age of the universe, and the animal world as it is today. Name one thing that you know is scientifically true about evolution - please.
You can witness it yourself. In our lifetimes, several distinct breeds of dogs have been created by evolution. Five hundred years ago, there were no hairless cats. They evolved because humans stepped in and made sure they survived and bred. Humans are far different than they were 200 years ago. We have evolved. My generation is taller than my father's generation. We evolved.
Evolution is everywhere and we see it every day. It can be duplicated and demonstrated.
The scary part that scientists aren't talking about is the de-evolution that has already started. Weaker, stupider people are surviving and breeding because smarter, stronger people give them money. In one or two generations, the number of dummies will grow exponentially. In the past, the cronically stupid and week humans bred at slower rate than the smart, strong humans. I fear the future.
If you can find it, look for C.M. Kornbluth's, The Marching Morons. It is a short story about a time that may come when the vast majority of people are stupid and a few capable people secretly maintain the infrastructure to keep them from fighting and destroying the earth.

Five hundred years ago, there were no hairless cats. " Going from genes that express "hair" to lack of genes that express "hair" may be described many ways, but it is NOT evolution. What this IS, is an example of how sloppy the definition of terms is in this whole argument.
Reductionism? Devolution? Breakdown? Simplification? Maybe so, but "Evolution?" Nope.
The same thing applies to the "dog breeds" argument. Dog breeds are developed by eliminating unwanted genetic information, not by creating new info. Therefore, it is not "Evolution." It is merely "change."
