So many conversations just gated up like we are Cattle and just livestock.
I saw that happen. The OP realized that there was already a thread to the same topic of interest. But still there were conversations and sentiments being also shared in this second post too and it is rude to just shut it off like that. Doesn't anyone know how to just "forward" any new comments to the older thread? It is not rocket science and only take minimal effort... I can teach you how... That way those conversations are not lost to the wind...
Does anyone care about the members here and have customer appreciation? Or is the arrogance so great that we should feel lucky you even allow us to participate here? If it is the later you are wrong and that is a mistaken perspective. That arrogance will be the downfall of this domain in the end.

We have talked about this for years now. Do you guys need me to show you how to actually do respective productive moderation? The minimal efforts to move something or redirect? No moderator should be moderating without these very basic skills. Seriously... Been that way since Usenet...

The only way to have Full Control of a website is to start your own. Even then, there are rules of the digital road to comply with. I hope you calm down a bit and come back later, since you are articulate and express yourself well.
It seems they pick and choose which ones to lock. Not everyone spends all day and night on here, and they would miss the story if it wasn’t repeated. Some, some stories they let repeat a dozen times.
I have never once gotten search to work for me. I have to go to a search engine offsite.
I’d also like an explicit bcc: box, beyond the To: one, so people beyond the first don’t think you’re talking directly to them.
Since we’re talking new functionality.
Maybe it’s your browser. Search works pretty well for me on Mac; I don’t know about yours.
I’m not a mod; but as for the customer being always right, this is a privately owned entity, not a public accommodation. It’s good to respect the owners’ system.
Have to disagree. Search works very well. Many people just don't know how to search effectively.
One way it doesn't work is when someone poorly retypes a headline instead of copy/pasta.
Kinda like complaining about AutoCorrect when they're just too lazy to proofread.

Gotta agree with you there. It stings a little, to be honest. Especially after spending a bit of time and effort to get a post just right.
I’d suggest a simple “Duplicate” message instead.
