Well, someone in the Netherlands pointed out where Anne Frank and her family were hiding and they were captured and sent to concentration camps, so I guess there's still plenty of Jew haters there.
The Netherlands had the highest percentage of volunteers to serve in the Waffen SS of any occupied country.
Unfortunately, you always will have a number of collaborators - no matter who occupies your country. Some will do it to curry favor with the Mighty Ones, others do it to survive, some don’t care etc. etc.
Many nations had a very hard time coming to grips with this fact after 1945.
In some cases, this is still a taboo - or it was until very recently. Poland and Korea being cases in point, though even there, uncomfortable truths are being discussed more openly than just a few years ago.
May both countries be able to heal eventually!🙂
