A German newspaper published an explicit single world headline after Donald Trump emerged as the victor in the 2024 presidential election.
Die Zeit, which is the country's biggest weekly paper, posted a reaction piece this morning headlined : 'F***'.
The piece outlined factors that could result in scenarios for his political opponents, and was penned by Nele Pollatschek for the outlet, which has been published in the city of Hamburg since it was founded in 1946.
In the article, seen by The Latin Times, she wrote: 'Last time, Trump's advisors stopped him from doing too much nonsense.
'Except that he replaced them for exactly that reason. That's why this time he has very explicitly surrounded himself with people whose core competence is loyalty.
The outlet reported that Pollatschek also addressed a feeling on anxiety as she watched the election results live.
She wrote: 'Half past five is also a perfectly appropriate time for feeling helpless, for feeling sorry for yourself, for panicking and for sheer horror.
'Curiosity is at a low point in the early hours of the morning. The problem, of course, is that the story of Donald Trump has been exhausted since 2016.'
Carmakers in the European nation including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and Volkswagen saw their share prices slump after Trump won the election.
The dip came amid fears that he will impose steep tariffs on the industry. He has imposed steeper tariffs on foreign vehicles in order to protect US jobs.

Yep. I’ll be playing F.E.A.R when I start my vacation Friday morning. Between that and Doom 2016, and a case of beer. Good times!
As for the Germans, they’ve been bitter since they bombed Pearl Harbor.
“Socialism has in Germany become part of their national identity.”

Ever since NSDAP:
The “National-Socialist German Workers Party”.
Whose name became shorter-still to another 4-letter word that ends in “I”...
Communism is dead, bucketheads, deal with it.
She should know! She's probably spent many a pre-dawn hour, sitting alone in front of a three-quarters empty bottle of booze on the table in front of her, lamenting her helplessness and feeling sorry for herself.
I stopped subscribing to "Die ZEIT" in 2014, though I would still occasionally pick up a copy at the Bahnhofskiosk when, e.g., undertaking a long journey by train. My last "letter to the editor" (defending America's "2-senators-per-state" rule) was published in 2021.
The paper really has gone downhill in the past 40 years!
Regards,
But headlines like this make it much harder.
it’s WAY past time to pull ALL U.S. military out of Germany ... every last soldier ... every last piece of equipment ... and auction off all real estate ...
Our chief geo-political and military foe since 1945, Russia (sometimes going under the name "U.S.S.R."), would cheer such a reckless move.
Regards,
What is it about Trump possibly leaving NATO that upsets American and European leftists so much? There’s more to it than even most Freepers seem to realize. It’s a little complicated, so bear with me.
Western Europe has been under the American “nuclear umbrella” since the late ‘40s. European politicians quickly figured out they could cut military spending and buy votes with that money. That’s how the Eurotrash countries can afford the “free” child care, college, health care, housing, etc. the Democrats in this country think they’re “entitled” to.
Trump threatens to wreck their apple cart. America leaving NATO would force the Eurotrash countries to dramatically increase military spending. That would require cuts to their colossal welfare giveaways.
Either that, or western Europe’s politicians would have to admit Russia is no “bogeyman” capable of threatening them. NATO wouldn’t have any reason to exist then (which it hasn’t any since the USSR and Warsaw Pact imploded more than 30 years ago). The military industrial complex would lose a valuable cash cow if NATO went kaput.
“German election results are far lower impact on the world...”
That wasn’t always so!🫣😎
I’m confused. Weren’t the Nazis German? Isn’t Trump a Nazi? They should be thrilled.
“*I am continually disappointed in this particular one of the countries of my heritage.”
It all stems from the über extreme national guilt, shame, contrition, embarrassment, self-hate, fear, blood of the fathers, etc heaped on a vanquished country after WW2. They need to come out of it.
What’s a “newspaper”?
Bum wiping stuff in flat folded form.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
first of all, I am begging you not to mistake this vile neo-bolshie, woke, globohomo POS rag with us, those Germans, who sympathize with President-elect Trump and with America. My apologies to everyone.
This rag „Zeit“ (spit) would make the WaPo look like the American Conservative.
Secondly, I would like to ask all of you whether I should leave FR for good - for I have no more hope to be welcome here any more, though politically, I am very close to most Freepers. I just feel unwelcome because I happen to have been born German (and handicapped, but that’s another matter). Could you tell me honestly? Please?
All I can say about the election in the USA: God bless Trump, God bless America!🇺🇸
P.S.: to me, I am also just as happy that the coalition from Hell here in Germany has croaked at last, after a prolonged period of agony. Every one of its members is much, much worse than Mr. Biden and Mrs. Harris. My word for it.
Amen.
Absolutely do not leave please. I for one appreciate hearing your takes on subjects. I see your texts early in the morning here and it’s nice to know what occurs during European daytime hours.
And you need to watch more movies.😆
It’s a line used in an old film titled Animal House. A comedy about stupid boys from a University Frat house.

Our former, hopefully soon to be restored, republic has no allies in western Europe.
But our Deep State has always had plenty, hasnt it...
We need to leave a vapor trail getting the hell out of NATO.
