Nudity is the norm in Finland.
It is a daily family ritual for everyone to be totally nude in the sauna, and then all jump into the cold water of the lake.
Everyone participates, from grandma and grandpa down to the young children.
And when I looked around the lake, everyone from all the other homes was totally nude, doing the same thing.
The same is true in most of Europe, especially the French Riviera. I’ll never forget my first time there when three beautiful young women, totally nude, approached me and asked me to take their picture. They were students at the University of Maryland, visiting Nice France for holiday. There was nothing left to the imagination.
These are not private or special beaches. It is the norm on all public beaches. Not just the beaches, but on the public transportation too.
In Monaco an old woman who sagged below her navel sat across from me on the bus. It’s easy to identify American men as they have squint lines in their suntan!

And if an American tourist wears a swimsuit to a sauna, that ain't cool.
“It’s easy to identify American men...”
They (we) are the ones who have to remain seated as much as possible.😎
