Joe Biden is being encouraged to replace Kamala Harris with a blast from the past to aid his floundering chances at re-election.

Harris - the first female and first black vice president in American history - has also struggled, with poll numbers saying a majority of Americans don't think she would be a good president.
Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist Kathleen Parker wrote Tuesday that Democrats should look to their recent past for a new VP.
In her piece, she wondered why no one has floated Hillary Clinton as a potential running mate.
Clinton, of course, served as First Lady, Secretary of State and a United States Senator before losing to Donald Trump in 2016.
Parker argues that Harris lacks 'competency' which deters voters who see Biden's 'steady decline over the years' and that Clinton could provide reassurance, despite being 76 years old herself.
'If Biden needs to step down, even those who didn't vote for Clinton would have confidence in her ability to keep the country on track,'
She also believes that Clinton's 2016 loss - which she's spent the last eight years playing the blame game over - still rankles her and leaves her with unfinished business.
'At 76, she might want no part of it, but it's hard to retire when you feel your job isn't done,' she wrote, citing Clinton endorsing a candidate in a New York Congressional district to unseat 'Squad' member Jamaal Bowman.
Parker, a Pulitzer Prize winner, called it 'impossible to ignore' Biden's ''stumbles, his search for words, his occasional blank stare.'

I saw a poll once where 50% of voters said they would never vote for hillary robbem klinton under any circumstances.

Let’s break this down (queue Chris Pratt as “Starlord” facing “Ronan” in “Guardians of the Galaxy”)
2) ANY Veep replacement must be confirmed by BOTH houses. The GOP will not confirm Cankles. Period. End of story. Johnson, however, might fake it and drag the replacement hearings out for over a month, COMPLETELY SABOTAGING the DNC ticket.
3) Remember my substack from two days ago: ballots are done by counties, and they are on a ticking clock. ANY changes must be done no later than mid-August to accommodate ballot printing, sending to candidates to proof, return, new total ballot printing, sending out by Oct. 7 for early/absentee voters. That clock cannot be changed.
2) If there is any ‘swap out” after Oct. 7, ANY ballots coming back with either Biden’s or Harris’s name on them-—IF they are not actually the candidates WILL NOT BE COUNTED. This will cost the DemoKKKrats 30% of their total vote and give Trump states such as Kollyfornia (where he lost by under 30) New York (where currently he is within single digits) not to mention ME, NM, VA, CO, MN, OR, WA, and others where Trump is only trailing by low double digits.
3) BUT THERE IS ANOTHER CLOCK: The DNC, in order to actually have ANYONE on the top of the ticket, must nominate them before AUGUST 7!!!!!!! Otherwise, they’d lose OH, cause a massive ripple there that would cost them a senate seat & probably a house seat, and reduce overall turnout by as much as 1 million. That’s why they announced they would nominate Rutabaga “virtually” before Aug. 7.

In the event that one of the named candidates is not around to be elected, the state recognize the party affiliation. So, you would be voting for the party nominee, not the ineligible candidate.
JFK came up with the brilliant idea of replacing his VP when he ran for a second term.
