They should start offering only donner kababs and masala.
Never a good sign.
They put a rainbow rocking chair on the porch for pride month in their ads.
Sorry not so interested in going. And I liked it.
People don’t do sit down meals like they used to. We are all too busy doing screen time in our free time.
Silly lady. As a CEO, learn not to stick your foot in your mouth.
One of the few places you could reliably get some halfway decent okra around here.
Things a CEO should never say out loud, especially on an investor call: “We just aren’t relevant. Our clientele died during COVID and didn’t come back. Our recipes suck.”
[Yeah, get rid of that old apple pie stuff already.
They should start offering only donner kababs and masala.]
And they need a transgender spokesman.
Yes, and gulab jamun instead of apple pie.
Maybe Cracker Barrel should do more LGBTQ+ stuff to turn away traditional Americans.
Idiots...🙄🙄🙄🤣
Local op’s entryway is jammed with merchandise in the way of customers seeking a decent meal - who also can barely hear each other over THE VERY LOUD MUSIC.
Quality control of kitchen output is POOR. Wide variation between any two dinner plates of the same entre/meal. High rate of failing to cook meat, chicken, bacon.
wanton destruction of corporate value...
I enjoy Cracker Barrel. I appreciate their Americana theme but have never bought anything other than meals.
I think they can still be relevant. Above all else, make sure the meals are tasty and reasonably priced.
Appeal to adults. Not to kids. Kids should be welcome but keeping the atmosphere a bit stodgy discourages bad behaviour. I like them because I see them as “ports in the storm” with good food.
...I inow. Nothing beats home and nothing ever will. Like I said, I like them. I think America needs a solid restaurant chain. Stay out if the big cities. Choose safe suburbs to open restaurants.
I’ve never even seen a ‘cracker barrel’ restaurant... I guess they aren’t in Cali?
Poor communication skills. You never knock your own products and services publicly. You can recognize your areas of improvement, create new products and services and promote them to bring customers back.
Or maybe she gets stock options that will vest if she can bring the stock price back up in 5 years, in which case knock it down now and build it back up and stuff your pockets.
DEI in executive row. A photogenic female. Reminds me of Bud Lite. There is a reason why experience matters.
Cracker Barrel has always struck me as expensive, and I never liked half the building being loaded up with overpriced trinkets that they tried to peddle while you were waiting. I remember adding a side of carrots adding $2.50 to the bill before the pandemic. The food was fine, however.
Poor leadership at the top. Smack talking your own company is a loser. She needs to go away.
Seeing the CEO answers a lot of questions.
CB used to be a relatively inexpensive, decent family meal, with traditional stuff that you went back for. Much of the traditional stuff is gone, replaced by trendy stuff that only those that wouldn’t be caught dead in a CB would eat. The traditional items left are way more expensive and the quality has gone way down - for example, their hamburger steak used to taste like sirloin steak, now tastes like a hamburger pattie. The Friday fish fry used to be cod, now an unnamed “white fish”.
I have it on good authority from a former CB employee that one of their problems is that they don’t pay well. So new cooks are constantly coming in as the previous ones move on to greener pastures, and the food quality suffers as a result.
Still a good place to get breakfast, but anything else has gone way down hill.
If the big wigs in the company don’t care, them turn it over to someone who gives a sh!t.
I like the place, even though they don’t have hash.
