“Dominion is seeking $1.3 billion in damages from Lindell and his pillow company in the Washington case.”

I am not a lawyer, but how is it that the pillow company can be sued for a statement made by its CEO on his own?

I’m not a lawyer, but I understand that in civil cases anybody can sue anybody for any reason.

Dominion alleges he used his claims of election rigging by Dominion to sell his pillows. Specifically, he appeared on NEWSMAX, FNC, and other media outlets numerous times claiming they rigged the election while he was a sponsor of the show he appeared on. He publicly stated that he made millions of dollars from the NEWSMAX specific "discount code" alone. Assuming he has lawyers advising him, he must have known that was going to be problematic.
