‘Bed Rotting’ Gen Z Is Destroying Their Future: ‘Never Be at Home’

It’s time for Gen Z to stop “bed rotting” and leave the house.

Working from home could stunt career growth and romantic relationships, Scott Galloway, a marketing professor at New York University’s Stern School of Business, said at the Wall Street Journal’s CEO Council Summit last week.

“You should never be at home. That’s what I tell young people. Home is for seven hours of sleep and that’s it,” Galloway dished in a clip posted by the Journal on TikTok. “The amount of time you spend at home is inversely correlated to your success professionally and romantically. You need to be out of the house,” he urged.

Not to mention how much trouble you can get yourself into…but that may just be me.

Get out of the house, even if not going to work.

Scott Galloway is one of the nastiest people I’ve ever shook hands with. A true misanthropic narcissist.

We’re not going back to the office.

Deal with it.

I have to agree with the idea. Living at home will just end with you in the basement on the internet most of your life.
In my generation we were anxious to “See the world” and “find yourself”, and take adventure and risk.

Join the military.

Go to school and learn a trade.

Take a chance and don’t waste your youth on being safe.

It does require a moral compass,,, but...

No guts no glory.

Work is work. Home is where you get away from work. I could have done a fair amount of my work (but by no means all of it) from home before I retired, but I never considered it. Too easy to fall into the never-off-work trap. Saw it happen to others.

Home is for seven hours of sleep and that’s it. What a depressing life.

“Get back to work drones. Don’t spend time with family or on leisurely things in the home. You have 17 hours of work to do. Snap to it. Gotta pay those taxes to fund the non working illegal immigrants and welfare sponges.”

A story quoting TikTok.

I thought we didn’t like TikTok.

But they are quoting him…so TikTok must be good, right?

When I worked in the corporate world I never liked the idea of people working from home.

I have made a 180-degree change on this, and I can attribute it to one thing that I never would have considered before 2020: the idea that some @sshole in government who never misses a paycheck can declare my job “non-essential” and shut my business down over some Branch Covidian hysteria.

FR doesn’t like Biden, doesn’t mean we ignore what he does.
