The billionaire creator of Rockstar Energy has listed for sale a property in Utah for $50 million - less than a year after he officially acquired it for $39.4 million.
Russ Weiner, 53, founded the drinks company in 2001 but sold it to Pepsi in 2020 for a deal worth more than $4 billion, according to Forbes.
This luxurious six-bedroom, 11-bathroom ski house may have been an impulse purchase, however, as Weiner says he hasn't slept a single night there and reportedly said the stunning property was 'better than new'.
The 17,500 square-foot house sits on on five acres of land at the base of Monitor Bowl on Park City mountain resort, just east of Salt Lake City. It has become the most expensive residential property in Utah.
The property was built by the development company Illuminus Group.
The house is also architecturally ambitious and uses premium building materials, including Italian steel windows, Croatian limestone, shou sugi ban charred cypress and a fully copper roof. Its library has walls which are paneled with goatskin parchment, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Although the house was sold to him fully furnished it didn't stop Weiner from making improvements.
Since it was officially under his name in April 2022, Weiner said he did additional work, including installing a generator and updating the home's smart systems, according to Mission Global.
He also upgraded some of the furniture and added window coverings, window tints and solar shades. In the bedrooms, he upgraded the mattresses and bedding, he said.
Weiner said his plan was originally to keep the property but that 'plans changed'. He did not want to elaborate on the reasons why.

Good observation! LOL.
I tend to think that people who have loads of money and have a pattern of buying and selling are not content. Always looking for the next thing to make them happy.
I have bowled all my life. The grill that goes into a bowling must have magic powers. Bowling alley burgers and fries are the best. Period.
👍👍👍🍔🍔🍔
I remember the days when you could smoke like a train at the bowling alley. Even at the old school scoring tables with the clear sheet lit up on the overhead and you actually had to calculate your score manually. Ah the good ol days.
How big is the garage?
Does it have a heated driveway?
I remember that it tasted terrible.
We live in the age of cognitive dissonance.
We can pass laws that say you can't smoke in a public place but that it is perfectly legal to impregnate your best friend's wife.
You can't legislate morality but it just fine to legislate health codes.
Coming soon: California outlaws sugar (they already outlawed 'Big Gulps')
Rockstar. That was owned by Savages son wasn’t it?
I don’t know, but several posters to the thread have said he is.
