From weight gain to nausea, breast tenderness, and menstrual cycle changes, the Pill has a long list of side effects.
But a number of women have spoken out about what is probably the most unlikely side effect yet — they say the oral contraceptives turned them gay.
While it may sound outlandish, there is some evidence the combined and progestin-only oral contraceptives can alter how women perceive attractiveness.
The medication works by suppressing the body's natural production of sex hormones and replaces them with synthetic versions.
These altered hormones may re-wire brain circuits related to love and sex, according to Dr Sarah Hill, a psychologist who specializes in women's health at Texas Christian University.
Dr Hill told DailyMail.com: ‘The way that our hormones affect our brain is by nudging our preferences or behavior this way or that way. Sometimes it might nudge you into a direction that wouldn't necessarily agree with what your brain would do outside of that.
'But these nudges aren't generally so big they’re going to lead you to be an absolutely different person and desire an absolutely different type of mate
Hormones flip billions of switches on and off in cells throughout your body, influencing how a person interacts with the world. But scientists are still untangling how these influence women's behavior, and how much a person's sexuality can be swayed by these changes

It is known that all liberal women are bi, though it is to be determined whether it is polar or sexual. Perhaps, they have discovered a common denominator
I am definitely a lesbian...
If I were a woman...for sure I would be a Lesbian! :)
I doubt it, but will we see a sudden push for all women to take the pill? What about “trans” women? will they be persuaded to take it?
I just don’t want it to turn me into a newt.
women are just plain crazy...geez
I’d have to agree. It’s the way to go.
That third option is something going wrong during gestation. It may very well be the case that there are no "gay genes", and that there is little that happens after a person is born to turn them from straight to gay.
What could be happening instead is that the wrong amount, type, and sequence of hormones is being delivered to the fetus during gestation. This could happen as a result of the mother smoking, drinking, taking drugs, being subjected to pollutants, or being under a lot of stress.
If birth control pills can alter the sexual preferences of fully grown women, then think what could be happening to developing fetuses subjected to the wrong hormones at the wrong times.
They have studied that women like less masculine men when on the pill.
It’s okay. You get better.
“I just don’t want it to turn me into a newt.”
Don’t worry, if that happens it is quite possible that you can get better
I get it...don’t take the pill...demand your “right” to shred your baby.
I took the pills and somehow never wanted to kiss a girl.
It’s very sad how many women have been suckered into messing themselves up with oral contraceptives. Every so often there’s talk about a “male pill” that would inhibit sperm production or otherwise reduce male fertility to near zero, and such ideas die on the vine because the overwhelming majority of men recoil from the idea. Why are so many women so stupid? They’ve been brainwashed, I guess, to believe that their lives are meaningless unless a man is having sex with them but they want to divorce that from its natural consequences.
A lot of men, including some in this thread, joke around saying, “If I were a woman, I’d be a lesbian too. Women are hotter.” And I get that joke, but the large number of young women (upwards of 25% in some surveys of 18-29) turning toward lesbianism is no laughing matter. It’s possible that oral contraceptives are playing a role. I also think that massive increase in youth athletics have played a role, as many of the stars are women’s soccer, basketball, etc. are lesbians and act as role models for that behavior. Some are unattractive dykes like Brittany Griner. But others are also “lipstick lesbians” like Ali Krieger, and I have to believe they’re influencing young girls.
Don’t worry, you’ll get better.
No kidding
Probably, as planned.
I think hormones are probably the leading factor in determining someone sexually attractive.
I’m not surprised a hormone altering pill could cause a woman’s perception on potential partners to be altered
That explains the increase in attitudes of women coming off the the pill.

If it’s rug munching they are desiring there’s plenty of men willing to go that route.
