Hollywood putting ideology before money?
Hollywood putting anything before money?
Something seems off.

Presuming Cruise gets a cut of the revenue, the Church of Scientology is happy too.

Tom might be a weird dude but he never half-asses a performance and is the last real movie star hollywood has left.
To: cableguymn
Tom Cruise single handedly brought back the film industry.

I honestly think that Hollywood, the MSM and much of Corporate America are willing to live with sub-optimal profits as long as they an ideologically acceptable (e.g., woke) message. Don't bet on that. Hollywood love money more than anything else.
Their entire lifestyles, way of living , standard of living etc depends on money and nothing else.

Tom Cruise single handedly brought back the film industry. For himself and his movies.
That very woke Disney movie, “Lightyear”, still bombed big time.
To: NautiNurse
Presuming Cruise gets a cut of the revenue Cruise gets a big cut of the gross revenue, not profits.
He'll make a lot of money from this movie. More than he ever made from any movie before.

“Flirtin’ With Disaster” would have fit better IMHO.
