:) I think ... therefore I am not a scientist!

Good thing they weren’t using 8-track tapes, huh?

“Recently, scientists looked at 440 previously unexamined seven-track tapes that recorded and archived raw temperature data from the moon in the spring of 1975.

reading 47 year old magnetic tapes. I’m amazed they could read them at all.”

Does it hertz to think that they were on their A game ?

Could be all the trash the Apollo missions left on the Moon surface.

“Nonsense.”

Causing a rise in the lunar oceans. Oh, wait.

The absurdities keep coming and coming...

A couple of lightweight astronauts were so strong that they pounded on a 73.4 x 1021 Kg object that has a surface area of 14-million square miles until its temperature rose between 3-to-6 degrees...

Must be using a supercomputer-driven combination of million-man-march math and the climate change hockey stick...

The fact that the scientists didn’t notice an upward trend for 4 years makes me suspect this is utter garbage.

I think they used a Golf Stick, or at least that is what they used in the photoshops

They believe infinitely small amounts friction from people four years earlier caused temperature increases beyond what the Sun does all the time?

It sounds like they are trying to find an excuse for Sun-based Global Warming fluctuations across the Solar System, and ironically, blaming it on Man, again!

“ Wow! Reading 47 year old magnetic tapes. I’m amazed they could read them at all.”

Well, these are the same geniuses who “corrected” historical temperature readings 100+ years old taken from a mercury thermometer.

So they know their stuff.

Do I really need a /sarc?

I bet it is all true.

I also imagine they are omitting things so that they have their story. There is no story without “conflict.” And anything that has a man made eco destruction label gets certain peoples attention.

If I had to guess, and this is a pure stab in the dark, the data is right and the conclusions are right. The causality is even correct. BUT, I would imagine we're talking about an area about the size of a basketball court, i.e. those areas where the surface coloration was changed. You can see that here on earth too. This is a report basically about nothing.

The title may as well read, “NASA discovers black cars get hot in the sun.”

I guess there is no way the holes they drilled allowed warm air to flow into the holes. It must be lunar warming.

I bet the temperatures under the bottom part of the lander that stayed on the moon are cooler!

Wow - temperatures in the shade are lower. NASA might make that discovery next. But only if we spend $1.6 billion.
