As Russia continues to wage war on Ukraine, the photo, being hailed as ‘St Javelin’, has become a symbol of Ukraine’s resistance. Snip Javelin is an anti-tank-guided munition that can be carried and launched by a single person. Designed by the US defence firms in the late 1980s, the Javelin weighs about 50 pounds. Javelin can be fired from the soldier and does not need any millie launcher. According to reports, Ukrainian defence is largely depending on the Javelin to counter the all-out attack of the Russian troops

This is called a schlock icon. That is an “icon” that is not real, and has no holiness imbued in it. The icon is not written according to the Canons, and is solely a cartoon.
There are hundreds (if not thousands) of stories of saints and the Mother of God defending the Slavic lands from invasion (mostly from Muslims). In cases where the lands were successfully defended it was because the saint appeared to the enemy and terrified them into retreat (for example: https://www.johnsanidopoulos.com/2010/08/great-miracle-of-st-spyridon-on-august.html) or a natural disaster, such as an earthquake, flood, landslide, fire, etc. disabled the invading party.
Icons where the celebrant carries weapons are understood to be fighting the real enemy, meaning the demons and the devil (for example St. George the Greatmartyr and Trophy Bearer, St. Michael the Archangel).
There are many martyrs who were sainted because they refused to murder others despite being in miltary service, and as such were killed by their countrymen, such as St. Maurice.
The image of “St. Javelin” is non-Orthodox, and is solely cultural. It carries with itself no Orthodox spirituality and in no way represents the Church.
If A10s where deployed in Ukraine, the sky’s would immediately be swarming with MIGs and Sukhoi’s and those A10s would be toast. An A10 is pretty much on par with a Cessna against a modern fighter jet.

Let me explain modern air combat. The A10’s don’t go by themselves. The first step is a large package of air to air fighters with dual role SAM suppression wild weasels. They are tasked with “owning” a certain area of airspace for a given period of time. Usually an AWAC and a tanker is closeby too. If anything flies into that airspace, it dies. The wild weasel package it there to blow up any SAM missile sites. Trust me, they are very effective. Once the battle space is secure, then the A10’s arrive and rain down hot death from above, under the watchful eyes of their “top cover” best buddies. It’s all quite spectacular...
