Absolutely right. The nazis have been organized by former “Occupy” thugs, who have also organized with antifa. It’s one big lie.
Antifa is just Occupy Wall Street with a more marketable name. Their goal is the destruction of capitalism and capitalists. And they will falsely label all of their targets as Fascists and Nazis in order to feed their goal. Of course, the drone white liberals have latched on to them because they are fascists themselves and believe in “any means necessary” to further progressivism and cultural Marxism.
“To be very clear, antifa and neo-Nazis do not reside on the same moral plane; white supremacists are demonstrably worse in both word and deed.”
When all your opinions are based on fake news, are they fake opinions?
Author states this as true without any logical argument.
The "Nazis" will prevail, eh? Presumably that means "Trump supporters"? Because everyone knows there aren't enough true "Nazis" in the country to prevail at anything.
It's incredible how Media outlets can inject such abject, clumsy propaganda into a piece, starting with the very first sentence—if not the headline itself.
Noam Chomsky is right—in a certain narrow sense—but he's also dead wrong on a wider level. He's smearing "the Right"—meaning "all Trump supporters", of course, in his smug and tidy Leftist mind—by disingenuously and falsely conflating them with "Nazis" and "White Supremacists".
Chomsky frequently pulls stunts like this.
For example: I recall Chomsky commenting on gun control once, and saying words to the effect of: "Its clear that the Constitution doesn't grant any individual the right to own a gun."
Now, that is essentially true—in the sense that the Constitution doesn't grant rights at all, but simply recognizes them. But that's not how Chomsky meant it, of course. It is categorically untrue in the propagandist sense in which he framed his statement—which was as if to imply that government could actually grant "the right to own a gun" in the first place—which is patently false.
Every educated American should be well aware of the fact that government simply recognizes Rights (or not)—but it doesn't grant them. Hence, Chomsky was engaging in subtle propaganda.
For someone who wrote about and decried propaganda in American media during the Vietnam War era—Chomsky's book Manufacturing Consent purports to describe a propaganda model that can function powerfully within the framework of an ostensible "Free Press", although it is presented with his typical extreme Leftist bias—Chomsky certainly isn't averse to engaging in his own propaganda techniques himself. Indeed, he's one of the most skilled propagandists that has ever emerged from the Left.
As we all know, even a broken clock is right twice a day, and that's my general opinion of Chomsky and his radical, outside-the-mainstream ilk...
You need Violence to
Protect Nonviolence!
Okay...got it!
Chomsky is one extraordinarily cunning linguist!!! ;)
Because it reveals for all the world to see the dark, evil heart of the Left.
