Red Lobster's turnaround just got a major boost from Beyonce. [...]
Red Lobster's sales soared 33% on February 7, one day after Beyonce released a new song that included a reference to the seafood chain.
"We had no idea Beyonce was going to give us that amazing shoutout," Red Lobster CEO Kim Lopdrup told Business Insider in a phone interview. "We were completely surprised and delighted. It has been an incredible weekend following the release of Beyonce's new song."
In the song, called Formation, Beyonce refers to Red Lobster as a reward for sex. ...

Hmmm. I guess "White Privilege" ain't all it's cracked up to be.
:)
So....maybe they will have to "share" some of that with their bro's when Burnie Sanders gets to be our new dictator....
1. Red Lobster didnt do anything.
2. If you suddenly got alot of business , its not wrong riding the wave.
Its not like RL asked her or paid her to be in there. Ill go to a Red Lobster anytime and they arent that bad.
Same here.
Their commercials make them look great, but I always remind the husband that we don’t know which Third World cesspool was used to farm their seafood.
And just a side note for everyone....Red Lobster buys 40% of ALL B rate seafood. THe stuff that doesnt make the 5 Star resturants. THeres nothing wrong with that and they single handedly are a huge purchaser that keep the seafood industry going.
None of that is what the thread is about.
All their seafood comes thru Seattle from Alaska. I actually recieved a lesson on their purchases. Their Alaskan anything is from Alaska and within a day and a half fresh.
Im watching people with knee jerk reactions getting a tizzy over a company that didnt do anything wrong. So yes, it is relevant.
An old ribald red snapper joke comes to mind when seeing the headline of this thread.
Nobody said the company did anything wrong.
RL recently separated from the Darden restaurant chain that includes Olive Garden. Now they are independent and I notice their food is better.

Must I see the name of this repulsive skank every time I open my web browser?
“What about Joe’s Crab Shack...!”
I had crabs once...
Before opening browser, set beeber-like device to “stune”.
If all the stereotype stories I’ve read are true then RL’s serving staff is now working double-time for 1/10 the tips from their “normal” customer base.
I am expecting a reference to Beyonsay’s Cuttlefish any time now.
I’d go to a Red Lobster if there a family gathering....but everything they make seems to swim in butter, overly priced, and I may be the only one in America but I do not like those cheese biscuits or whatever they are...
