So when did Ann's and Obama Sr.'s "whatever happened happened fast" wedding happen? For no apparent reason, confusion abounds among Obama's biographers over the wedding date:
1. Dreams claims that Ann and Obama Sr. were in married "in 1960"; similarly, Mendell's 2007 book claims that the couple were married "sometime in late 1960" when they "slipped off alone to the island of Maui"; and both Obamaland (2008) by Ron Jacobs (with contributor David Maraniss) and a 2007 Washington Post article claim that the two were married "late in 1960."
2. A 2007 Chicago Tribune article vaguely claims that Ann and Obama Sr. were married "six months before" Barack's birth on Aug 4, 1961 -- or, in other words, sometime in early 1961.
3. An April 2008 Time article by Amanda Ripley, as does Maraniss's August 2008 article, gives a specific date of February 2, 1961 for the wedding, apparently based on Ann's and Obama Sr.'s 1964 divorce records – mysteriously appearing on the web. But since fake documents have been known to appear on the web, Obama's biographers, Ripley and Maraniss, might want to verify the 1964 divorce documents – especially since a Feb. 2, 1961 marriage date for "Ann and Obama Sr." wasn't reported in any Honolulu Advertiser or Honolulu Star-Bulletin marriage lists from February 1961. Take the February 8, 1961 Star-Bulletin, which listed eighteen marriages from Feb. 3, Feb. 4, and Feb. 6, and no Feb. 2 marriages, and the February 7, 1961 Advertiser, which listed eleven marriages from Feb. 2 to 4, including two Feb. 2 marriages.

Mark has been put into a horrible situation and I’m sure has done the best he could under such circumstances, most likely. He never asked to be in the public eye or to have to attest to false stories as truth. If he refused and told the truth as far as he knows it - well, he probably knows what happened to Lia.
I’m thinking that when you have someone with one parent of the jewish faith, and the other parent is muslim, maybe it’s the muslim half that has trouble with the truth, and the jewish side is sainted?

And btw, what evidence do you have that Mark has been forced to lie? He has opposed and alienated Obama at every turn. He’s exposed Obama’s lies. Obama hates his guts. How on earth do you arrive at the conclusion he’s been threatened into lying?

And I keep asking, who is that dark boy who is old enough to almost reach her waist? He looks to be about five years old. Mark was born in 1965, the image therefor has to be dated from 1966. So once again, who is the dark boy who had to have a birth year of 1961?
No one wants to go there. All they keep doing is telling me the child she's holding is 'David' - well, sorry, but if that dark boy isn't Mark, as HE maintains, then who the heck are we looking at?

The supposed discrepancy is easily resolved. Mark is speaking in the present tense. He & Barry are the only two mixed race Obamas now. He doesn’t mention David because David is long dead. I.e.: he’d have had to shift to past tense to include David (which he didn’t do because he was speaking of the present, not the past). That’s just simple English language usage.
That 'they met while they were both at Harvard' was an early fairy-story, it was later revised. Mark must have committed Part One to memory...and it stuck, so he had to correct himself. That entire interview was a study in what happens when you memorise a script that keeps changing...poor fellow. It wasn't his best day.
I watched the entire interview several weeks ago. Mark comes across quite well throughout. You really have to be a hyper critical nitpicker attack artist to take him apart over it. Or else just really hate him.

Arpaio and Zullo have gotten a lot of new info in the last five or so months, and that is what they are working on, and when they have their next press conference, it will be...interesting.
They are looking for truth, and apparently finding a lot of it, and they obviously cannot be bought or intimidated.

Yes, that’s how your incessant harping against Mark for this interview comes across. As petty and obsessively critical. This is the biggest fault you can find w him—that according to you he’s insufficiently polished in this interview. So you make it out as if he’s some kind of sinner for not living up to your standards of articulation. It is way, way over the top.
That’s the beauty of living in a democratic country, you are entitled to express your opinions. Me, mine, and you, yours. Is that a problem?
When you make it clear it’s your opinion that’s one thing. But when you put your opinion in someone else’s mouth and try to convince people they said something entirely different than what they actually said, that is wrong.
I’m not the first intended victim of the illness that drives you, I have watched as you did the same you are doing to me, to others, it’s your MO and your passion. So be it. There’s a destructive force at times in all of our doings, sometimes we just need to learn to live with it. What it’s doing to your psyche is another matter. Have you considered professional help? Or has your latest psychiatrist given up?

However, we pointed out, Ruth didn’t attend Harvard and the story is that she was a school teacher in the suburbs at the time they met. But Mark, in this audio, CLEARLY says, “when she was at Harvard University.” Then he “corrects” himself and says, “at Harvard.” They met AT HARVARD. Why did he change his phrasing? If Ruth didn’t ATTEND Harvard, as the official story says she did NOT, then how else might she have been “at Harvard” to meet BHO Sr.? Was she perhaps teaching THERE, at Harvard? Ruth won’t give her age, but census records say Ruth was born about 1937. If she was on track, then she would have attended college about 1954-1958. They met in June, 1964, the story goes.
