So when did Ann's and Obama Sr.'s "whatever happened happened fast" wedding happen? For no apparent reason, confusion abounds among Obama's biographers over the wedding date:
1. Dreams claims that Ann and Obama Sr. were in married "in 1960"; similarly, Mendell's 2007 book claims that the couple were married "sometime in late 1960" when they "slipped off alone to the island of Maui"; and both Obamaland (2008) by Ron Jacobs (with contributor David Maraniss) and a 2007 Washington Post article claim that the two were married "late in 1960."
2. A 2007 Chicago Tribune article vaguely claims that Ann and Obama Sr. were married "six months before" Barack's birth on Aug 4, 1961 -- or, in other words, sometime in early 1961.
3. An April 2008 Time article by Amanda Ripley, as does Maraniss's August 2008 article, gives a specific date of February 2, 1961 for the wedding, apparently based on Ann's and Obama Sr.'s 1964 divorce records mysteriously appearing on the web. But since fake documents have been known to appear on the web, Obama's biographers, Ripley and Maraniss, might want to verify the 1964 divorce documents especially since a Feb. 2, 1961 marriage date for "Ann and Obama Sr." wasn't reported in any Honolulu Advertiser or Honolulu Star-Bulletin marriage lists from February 1961. Take the February 8, 1961 Star-Bulletin, which listed eighteen marriages from Feb. 3, Feb. 4, and Feb. 6, and no Feb. 2 marriages, and the February 7, 1961 Advertiser, which listed eleven marriages from Feb. 2 to 4, including two Feb. 2 marriages.

Luo names follow an order pattern of (1) a Christian given name (these used at least for the past two generations), (2) a personal surname (selected from among over 50 “special” attributes, usually relating to the circumstances of a birth, see below), and (3) a patronymic, the childs fathers personal surname (a woman assumes her husbands at marriage). Thus, e.g., Valentine Odhiambo Pengo or Philomena Ogwang Odede.
The commonest Luo personal surnames are as follows (O- always indicates a male; A- indicates a female; about 85% of Luo names include one of these). The meaning is indicated, when well known and accepted.

look at #5 on the list “obama” is a surname(second name)— barack obama “last name”— whats his last name?
Many thanks for that link, I had read that entire article on another website, and I've been looking for it for quite some time. There's a paragraph in it, that has always made me wonder:
Of course, in the world from which he came, having a wife or two was not a reason to avoid other women. There is some uncertainty about whether Obama visited his American wife and child in Hawaii in the three years he was at Harvard: one of his friends from the period recalls him boasting about his son and visiting him more than once.
In the INS docs, one finds that the faculty at Harvard wondered if he also had 'another wife' at Cambridge. The assumption might have been due to the fact that he did tell his associates about his regular visits to 'his son' - and as he didn't travel to Hawaii from Boston any number of times, it's a fair question...who was this son and with whom was he living?
Surnames (last names) are a western convention. They didn't have them. Remember when the brother Omar was found in Boston? He had arrived to attend a private high school (don't ask who paid) in either 1962 or 1963, he lived with the kenyan student at 170 Magazine Street. His name was Omar. Omar Obama Onyango? He calls himself Obama Onyango now. I'm not even going to try to follow it. All the children of Kezia start out with names like Grace and Rita and Roy and Bernard etc...and now the all have Arab first names.
thanks a bunch fred.. I’ve noticed how alot of there names are out of order.. mabe it should be explored more, there is probally something going on there, just cant put my finger on it.. well im off to bed— later fred
What a web - The Kenyan lied to everyone, it seems - the family back in Kenya, the Immigration Service, friends; and then there are changes that were made years later to obscure the trail. Hard to determine the exact chain of events. But there was a son, and the son lived somewhere. And at some point, the son lived close by to Zero, and they had their picture taken together.
And the funny part is, you could entirely drop the photograph and the question of the identity of the two little boys, and still be left with the question; who was the 'son' the kenyan was visiting whilst he was at Harvard?
So far, you have the Kengor book which tells us that an african student in Honolulu 'left two blondes pregnant' - you have Ann S Obama as a student resident at the house the Dunhams shared with the Pratt Family (parents, daughter and son) then there's Anna Obama in the Polk in Seattle in the same period...Stanley Ann Dunham shows up at Susan Blake's and tells her she's married to the kenyan and she's going to Boston. That same day. With a three-weeks old baby, at the end of August. Anna Obama commences at the U of WA on September 19 (six days before semester commencement) and Mary says she babysat a 7 month old...
And then to top it off, Harvard thinks he's got 'another wife' in Boston. Because he's telling his associates he visits his son!
So now we have three women and two children. Well, at least that's how we count, where I come from.
Does anyone wonder why I think it looks like the 'David' photographed with the red curtain behind him, just might have been the child Abercrombie saw with Ann? Because he sure has been careful never to say Stanley Ann Dunham, and even Madelyn has been quoted as saying that Ann and the kenyan were married.
Ann S Obama, get it?
Hey, it could be true! Ann S Obama was married to the kenyan student, and Anna Obama, who thought she was, when she woke up, handed over her child (rather than have it adopted out in April 1961) and returned to the Philippines.
I can't think of a better reason for Ayres to weave the three names together and tell us she was 'his mother'... when no one ever saw her in Hawaii until 1963. It's not my fault, he wrote it, and anyone who can do better, is welcome to try.

By the way you are as good as the come when it comes to figuring out all this interweaving.
If you had to give a two or three paragraph guess on who Obama is at this point with what we know.Where he came from his genealogy, DNA etc. what would you say.
There’s a lot of info on this thread, just check FN’s comments, here are three:

They aren’t “who Zero really is” but they give a consistent and clear picture of “who Zero is not”, which is the way it starts. It is such an incredibly long and complicated topic due to the vast amount of lying and covering up having been done for years, that a huge amount of reading is really necessary to get a grasp of the monstrosity. That’s what I’ve done since the researchers started posting.
Why are you still smearing Mark Ndesandjo as a fraud and a liar? His claim to have a younger brother named David has been validated over and over. At some point it goes beyond promoting an evidence-free theory and least approaches the realm of defamation. [Maybe, after all you’ve done to attack his character, it’s already libel. I’m not a lawyer. But he raises charity on behalf of orphans, and if your crazy theory ever caught hold, it could impact his fundraising. (Who wants to support a shyster?) Shouldn’t you think twice before using a public forum not your own to libel him this way? Many forum owners would have asked you to desist long ago.]
Mark has done nothing to deserve this. & you have done nothing to establish the case that he is a lying con artist. The best thing for you to do is either produce some solid, trustworthy evidence, or else stop dragging his good name through the mud.
‘The commonest Luo personal surnames are as follows (O- always indicates a male; A- indicates a female; about 85% of Luo names include one of these). The meaning is indicated, when well known and accepted.’
Roy Malik has taken the name ‘Abongo’. According to this article, that means he’s a female. Something amiss somewhere. Also according to your source, his name means ‘only child’. Doesn’t he have a sister and a bunch of half brothers?
I was just wondering why, if an ‘A’ prefix means female, Roy-Malik would call himself Abongo. I don’t think whoever wrote the Wiki article had all the facts.
Roy Malik has a sister named Auma. He has two younger siblings from his mother, Kezia, but their paternity is in question.
Questioning the identity of anyone in a photograph in this sorry saga doesn’t equal ‘smearing ANYONE as a fraud and a liar’.
The questions are valid. And you can stop your bullying tactics. Put down the whip and take off the jackboots.
Thanks very much I will endeavor to do at least some of the homework you guys have done.
Fred is tops on my list.
Don’t let anyone make you feel bad for asking questions, even the sainted Mark has his problems when he’s being interviewed:

“The story actually begins about fifty years ago, when Barack Obama Senior, uh, went to Hawaii, as a, as a, a student and met Sally Ann Dunham, and shortly after that conceived Barack. A few years later, they divorced and, uh, he met my mother (pauses, utters whi) Ruth Baker, when she was at Harvard Universi, uh, uh, at Harvard. And, uh, shortly after that they went back to Kenya, uh, where I was conceived. Were both, uh, we both have white mother, uh, white American mothers; were both Americans; uh, were both multi-r, uh, mixed race; uh, we also went to, uh, were also born just a few years apart; and we have a lot of similarities and also a lot of differences.”
He stumbles and forgets his lines sometimes...

Those are some butt nasty values, Fred.
FN is a genius researcher and provides evidence, and no speculation; when there is some “possibilities” they are listed as such.
I do nothing except read and try to follow what’s being posted.
But I can tell the relevant and useful from the reverse, especially at this stage of the game.
