I gave Brown Deer an opportunity to continue when I realized I might have been wrong to make fun of what he posted, so I reposted the lead-in paragraph so he could continue.
He didn’t reply directly.
As the thread progressed on that subject, it became clear (to me) that there’s a good reason that author’s work isn’t welcome on FR. He’s a muckraker and a sensationalist. Right now. If I ever find reason to change my mind, I’ll let you know.
And yes, I understand the progression of comments might have been confusing.

To which I replied as if it had to be a joke. I was trying to make amends. And after all that, I’m back to square one. If it comes from the muckraker selling his book, I’m done with his (the author’s) articles.
