The naked samurai sword thing is not new.
I remember a number of years ago there was very similar incident.they "took" the guy "out" with a active fire-hose (OUCH! :); then a 8 ft. Fire Ladder was used...
He wasn't in a Ready Stance for that....(iirc) also in Ca.
