What the Court did not do on its last day in session, I will do on my first day if elected President of the United States and that is I will act to repeal Obamacare."
"Well, I'm not getting rid of all of healthcare reform,...Of course there are a number of things that I like in healthcare reform that I'm going to put in place...one is to make sure that those with pre-existing conditions can get coverage."
0bama had the democrats ram this bitter legislation (or tax) down our throats and now Romney tells us he's giving us seconds?
This ONE thing means he's not getting my vote. Let 0bama finish trashing Amerika with 4 more years.
One more politician, one lie too many.
go back to DU troll
You’re talking apples and oranges.
Job One is to repeal Obamacare.
Sensible helath reforms can come like it should have come—with debate, votes and a chance for the voice of the American people to be heard.
But we have to get rid of the monster that is Obamacare first, so Mitt has my vote.
"Well, I'm not getting rid of all of healthcare reform
No he not, there are still elements of the Health Care system that need to be fixed. Just getting rid of Obamacare is not a solution.
>> Let 0bama finish trashing Amerika with 4 more years. <<
Kitty, kitty, kitty.
I heard what he said.
I read what he said.
You need to take a reading/listening comprehension course.
Bye.
SCAT!!
Health care reform and Obamacare are two different animals. Yes, he intends to repeal Obamacare. And yes, he intends to draft a replacement for it that will handle reform in the right way.
How about this? IF Romney is elected, he lets the House and Senate do THEIR JOB and WE will tell our employee what WE want him to do. Veto or sign into law.
DUH!
It pays to actually listen to the point being made by the candidate not just squeal in hysteria to the spin put on it by your Democrat Propaganda masters.
Shut up and dont vote
Why would you be surprised? Obama and Oromney work for the same masters. Hell, my bet is that Oromney will be told to take a dive in the 9th round so that Obama can continue as TOTUS.
So you have bought the premise that the Federal Government need to “solve” the health care “problem”.
Just like your candidate.
He can propose legislation be passed by the congress. Let him say that. NOT SAY “Well, I’m not getting rid of all of healthcare reform”
First he can’t get rid of anything. That’s NOT a president’s job ... is it. It’s the job of congress and WE tell our representatives how they should vote.
Try reading some of my posts for the past 10 years.
REPEAL IT FIRST. Then replace it with a plan that is 180 degrees in the other direction. DEREGULATE insurance companies with respect to where they do buisness and and what rates they negotiate. That increases competition and gives healthcare providers more choices and room to do business. TORT reform. You want to lower the cost that doctors and hospitals charge considerably? Help reduce their malpractice insurance premiums and stop forcing doctors to order MRIs and CAT scans for a sprained ankle. If you want pre-existing conditions covered, that is acceptable but then don't tell insurance companies what premiums they have to charge. This forces them to lose money and they have to raise rates across the board to make up for it. This is called "high risk" insurance similar to flood insurance, reckless driver auto insurance (D&D record), ect. Obamacare legislates the forced loss of proffit for insurance companies. It is designed to put them out of business.
If now he is saying he accepts the premise that the Federal Government must take the lead in health care reform, his defense is no longer a defense. It is revealed for what it was - a slimy ruse.
Should he be elected President, he will promote big government; he will protect abortion by using the “health of the mother” rationale; he will promote the gay agenda; and he will pass amnesty for illegal aliens.
Conservatives who are now supporting Romney will be bitterly betrayed.
Romney said he is not going to repeal obamacare because he likes much of it, and why not, he is the father of obamacare.
He is saying he is just going to tweak it. (today anyway)
Oh, please—knock it off.
Are you going to vote for Obama?
Don’t you think insurance should be across state lines?
Want to keep the death panels?
Want to keep Fed government control of all healthcare?
Romney and Ryan want to return this to the states to administer. Who will do a better job?
In 57 days, your country will be kaput and you’re arguing about even voting for Romney/Ryan.
