You know what, Elsie? I like Jeff. I think I like Mormons more now too. You embarrass me as a Christian.
You know what, Ten, Elz, & Jeff? I like Jeff...and love him in the true Jesus Christ. I know I like and love Mormons (hey, I'm a descendent of one; and have plenty of Lds relatives...I better like and love them!)
Yet Christians who won't marry love and truth ("love rejoices in the truth" -- 1 Cor. 13:6)...and wind up enabling people to remain in their deception...are a HUGE embarrassment to the missionary-minded Christian faith.
I mean if Mormons are not to be "touched" with a Christian witness, or gathered into the worldwide Christian church, then what religious group is? (Just call all the missionaries to Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Confucionists, & all the cults home then, eh Tenacious???...)
And this shows where sometimes Mormons are "more true" to their "scriptures" than those claiming to be in Christ.
Lds send out 55,000 missionaries per year and have zero reservations seeking to pull Christians away from Christian churches. Contrast that with some of those in Christ who seem to clamor that Lds are "off-limits" for truth-telling.
Christians have seemingly forgotten that "Christianity is a missionary religion, converting, advancing, aggressive, encompassing the world; a non-missionary church is in the band of death." (Friedrich Max Muller)
Why have they forgotten?
Well, it seems William Hazlitt put his finger on one reason: "The truly proud man is satisfied with his own good opinion, and does not seek to make converts to it." (William Hazlitt)
And, in fact, those who do "seek to make converts to it" are ridiculed by the likes of posters like Tenacious.
Go for it; but I hope you 'like' what their chosen religious organization teaches about Christ when you've gotten deeper into the doctrine.
