Joseph Smith lied about what he was doing for years, all before he had the "revelation" that purported to justify (retroactively) his misconduct. Obviously, he created a nightmare for his original wife, Emma Smith. Here's a short video regarding the pathetic story of poor Emma.
Joseph Smith's successor, Bringem Young, then had some 55 "wives" (victims) of his own. Many of the women involved were really just little girls. Today, these founders would be receiving sentences of hundreds of years in prison.
So, how can anyone take this "religion" seriously once they learn how it all began and why it was felt necessary to create this whole new religion?
