Except for his unfortunate go along to get along support of TARP, bailouts, stimulus spending and the increased credit limit, etc, Ryan is a pretty good choice. Probably the best choice of the RINOS that were on Romney's short list. I support Ryan for the vice presidency. Wish he were at the top of the ticket, though.
But I still cannot and will not support the grand father of ObamaCare. Romney still loves and brags about his bastard brainchild, RomneyCare, even today when he knows what an anti-liberty socialist POS it is.
And the fact that he advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America for over three decades of his adult lifetime and even advocated that Roe v Wade should be supported and sustained as settled law precludes any consideration whatsoever by this pro-life Christian for Myth Romney for the presidency.
And the fact that he boasted that he would be better for "gay rights" than Ted Kennedy, and proved it just increases my resistance.
That, and his penchant for gun control, his continuing support for global warming, gays in the scouts, gays in the military, and his record of appointing liberal judges makes it all but impossible for me to support him.
Lastly, we're having a bit of changeover on our moderator staff. At least two moderators resigned this afternoon after I flatly refused to rein in a so-called anti-Mormon "bigot" on FR. Well, if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot. I've posted before that I flat do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. Nor do I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The Christian bible warns us to be weary of false prophets and that I am. Romney being the presumptive Republican nominee does not change that fact.
Dude... nobody, but NOBODY, was as vile an anti-Palin troll as pissant.
Seriously. I had to cobble up extra pics just for him, and him alone.
... well. You get the idea. ;)
And in six months time they will still be obsessing about Jim and FR....they preach a LOT about being "more tolerant than FR", however they don't really allow any "stepping out of line" such as criticism of mormonism. Talk about a virtual "stoning".
I spent a couple of days there and couldn't take it... It was really like peering into a snake pit and it was kinda like going back in time to Junior High school. I had to look in my closet for saddle shoes and a broomstick skirt, to see if there wuz any chance of gettin' in with the popular kids....;0)
What I disliked the most is there is a large number of FReepers who are still posting here, but bashing FR and especially JR there daily. FR has its faults, but there isn't one little clique running things. Too big, and too diverse and even though there is a handful trying to wrest control from Jim and run things by the use of censorship, (we've seen this for several years) they aren't succeeding.
Anyway, I'd as soon see the malcontents just move along and take their vitriol with them.
LOL
I just put Giuliani as a title
Great thing on the models. Hope you have fun.
It has been a good thing for me in helping with the rehab from cancer and the resulting disabilities...and it has been a GREAT thing in terms of interacting with my grandsons and teaching them the skill and imparting them good lessons about patience, working with their hands, following detailed technical instructions, and having a sense of achievement and pride in their work.
The good Lord works in our lives in His ways...not our own...and every condition can be turned for the good if we place our faith in Him and His Son.
Here’s my site tracking the model work I am doing:

thanks for the information
I’ll pray about it
The chances are zero, there are already about 50 “third parties”, Alan Keyes ran in two of them PLUS the GOP in 2008.
The pre civil war origins of the republican party does not reflect anything useful for today when parties measure their age by centuries and we have total democracy with everyone over 18 voting and 54% of voters being female.
The republicans simply replaced the Whigs, even 2 years after they first met, John Fremont came in second in the 1856 presidential race, the know Nothings third party came in a distant third with 8 electoral votes.
The Whigs were pre civil war America, the party only lasted 22 years itself (1833 to 1856). The Republicans held their first convention on July 6, 1854 and four months later held 19% of the Congress and 25% of the Senate, six years later they held the majority in the Congress, the majority in the Senate, and they had the Presidency. The Republicans were never really a third party at all.
Here is an article by the historian (among other things) Michael Medved that I think you will find useful.
Gee..sounds just like the 52,000 mormon missionaries..."study this book of mormon, it's the true word of God about the "one, true living church on the face of the earth".
Is THAT why you are such a defender?
That’s hilarious. I guess I missed the whole pissant/Palin thing.
Spend a little time in religion threads and you will see that most of that is directed at Protestants, Catholics, Mormons, and atheists.
He posted obscene, sexually graphic comments about Sarah, herself. He posted obscene, sexually graphic comments about Bristol Palin. He posted some truly execrable filth about Trig Palin, which doesn't even bear vague description, really.
Watching him finally get ZOTted was like being there live, in Munchkinland, the day Dorothy's house finally pulped the Wicked Witch of the West. ;)
Man, he was a bad dream, he was one weird guy.
PS: God told me to tell you...try reading all his words, not just the ones you can twist to attack his other children.
Believing Christians will always admonish their Jewish brothers and sisters to seek the fulfilment of their covenant in Messiah Jesus. It is the Great Commission, the last task the resurrected Jesus assigned to us before he returned to the Father. We don’t mean to offend, but this is something we can’t not do. It’s part of being Christian, and its something that really shouldn’t surprise you when you cavort among us. Just sayin ...
Well, I’m glad I missed it!
Nice terminology ;0)
interesting you refuse to address the substantive points in my posts.....
thanks for the conversation......
Why don’t you pray for me and I’ll pray for you?
And pray for yourself: Pray that God would show you if this christianity stuff is true.
What would you have me pray?
