“I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I cast a vote for an abortionist/sodomite lover, and I know I wouldn’t be able to face God. Your decision is your own, of course.”
I Peter 2:13-15
“Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lords sake, whether to the king as supreme, 14 or to governors, as to those who are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do good. 15 For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men 16 as free, yet not using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as bondservants of God. 17 Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.”
It would seem that according to Holy Scripture even Obama is an instrument of God. Perhaps God wants us involved with the process to change those rulers who have lost their way rather than allow them to continue? What if Mitt is God’s choice to overcome this latest assault on God given freedom? Maybe our own politics and agendas can get in the way of what God would want to do? Maybe stitting out is actually opposing God’s will? I’m not saying it is but it could be when one reflects on this passage.
Thanks, but no sale.
"What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid." - Romans 6:1-2(a)
Voting for an abortion-lover is a sin. I am accountable for my vote to God and that vote will NOT be given to an abortionist.
And we honor the sovereign (us, that is), when we vote our concience.

Sorry, that Scripture does not say submit yourselves to evildoers themselves, which is what Romney is. It’s because I fear God that I will not vote for him as this nation’s leader. We aren’t to submit to the government if it comes into conflict with God’s laws. Besides, Romney isn’t even in office, so how is voting for him submitting to the ordinance of man, as to a king or governor?
There are a lot of what-ifs in your post. I’ve prayed about this. I’ve asked God to confirm for me the right thing to do, and I believe I got the answer. Voting for an abortionist and homosexual lover would be going against God’s laws, so how you figure God could sanction that, I can’t imagine.
Finally-—and again-—no one is advocating sitting it out. Stop perpetuating this untruth, please.
In this passage God plainly states that the people rejected Him when they rejected Samuel, but their selection stood, as will our choices.
