Nowhere in this post did I mention “I” or “me.” I was speaking out for the thousands of workers who are having their job hours changed on a holiday with only a few weeks notice. Of course, working holidays is expected in retail. Having hours change to working 12 shifts with only 10 between is NOT. Thanksgiving is NOT Black Friday.

You should work in a power plant! When there is a mechanical failure all vacations are immediatly canceled, hours changed from 8 to 12 or 16. Only 8 hours between shifts is required and you work until the plant is back on line, 7 days a week.
I have often worked 12 or 16 hours a day for three months straight with no time off!
Wow, I got as far down as this post, and can’t believe all the degenerare responses so far. I guess Wall-Mart employees dpnt deserve Thanksgiving according to most people here. For the record, I agree with you.
