Wow, I got as far down as this post, and can’t believe all the degenerare responses so far. I guess Wall-Mart employees dpnt deserve Thanksgiving according to most people here. For the record, I agree with you.

They "deserve" freedom. If they choose to take a paycheck instead of a secular holiday, that is called FREEDOM. They can choose to get another job. One that gives them a different schedule. They could raise the capital and start their own store and be the boss. FREEDOM. It works. Try it sometime.

People who accept employment opportunities should know full well what their employer's requirements are....In the mega-retail business, It's a given that you will most likely be required to work on the major holidays where most of their retail sales are generated..
