I am neither teasing you nor poking at you. If you have law that says one must be 2nd Generation American from either parental side to be a “Natural Born Citizen” I will tip my hat.
Oh, I am 4th generation German on one side, 3rd Generation Irish on the other. My wife is from Mexico and is an American Citizen. Are you saying our children are not “Natural Born Citizens” because she is not 2nd Generation American?

Actually I think you were deliberately trying to confuse things by saying “2nd generation.” 1st generation Americans would be eligible to be President too as would any generation after that. A 1st generation American would be someone who was the child of an American citizen. That satisfies the jus sanguinus requirement.
