Yesterday, thousands of bikers descended upon Washington, D.C., for the annual Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Rally. The rally is an annual demonstration that was started in 1987 to bring attention to the plight of prisoners of war and to those service people missing in action. Among the riders? Sarah Palin. Decked out in a black jacket, big shades, and a Harley-Davidson helmet the Mama Grizzly transformed herself into a Motorcyle Mama for the day to join them in the cause.
Palin was joined at the rally by her husband Todd (forever riding the metaphorical sidecar) and her two daughters, Bristol and Piper. She rode on the back of one motorcyle, Bristol rode on the back of another, and Todd drove his own bike with Piper on the back.
That's right. Sarah Palin let her 10-year-old daughter Piper Palin on a motorcycle.
Are you kidding me?
Motorcycles can be fun and exhilarating to ride -- I've done it. But they can also be dangerous and are known for their ability to kill and maim, even the most skilled riders. A motorcycle is no place for a 10-year-old. It makes no difference that Piper was wearing a helmet, that the bike may have been "going slow," and that she wasn't the one driving it. She's way too young to be introduced to such a dangerous activity.
Once again Sarah Palin put her own PR in front of her her children's needs and safety. But that's not so surprising. After all, don't mama grizzlies eat their young?
Do you think kids should go on motorcyles?

In a former life, Suzanne Murray was a lawyer, a journalist, and a green lifestyle guru. She's launched several web sites, and has worked at the Washington Post Company, the New York Observer, and myriad women's magazines. In her current life, she's raising 8 chickens and one adventurous three-year-old.
Error, maybe maybe not.
IMO, anyone that says that was Willow does not know the Palins, reads the rags and most likely just wanted to make something out of nothing.
Republican kids are tough, just like some parents.
Ergo, they make great leaders.
Walked or rode my bike to school and back, no Chauffeur service like you see today. The local Elementary and Middle Schools look like the parking lot at In-and-Out Burger before and after school nowadays.
If I may, an observation on your Tagline. Obama supporters don't own Work Boots.
Suzanne Murray probably needed to consult her Dr. Spock book to know how to react to this.
My Brother used to carry his .22 Rifle to High School because he was in the Shooting Club. They had a Range in the basement of the Gym. Long Island, New York in the 50’s.
Imagine what the idiot woman who wrote the ridiculous story would think if she knew how many Guns the Palins have in their House. Then again, she would freak out if there was only one gun in their house, or the entire Town of Wasila for that matter.
It really was unforgivable, Sarah. Making the kid ride on the back of a motorcycle with someone else will brand the kid a sissy from now on! With your means, the kid should have her own motorcross bike and a mini street rod too!
Prolly makes her 3-year old wear a seat belt and helmet while potty training.
