Sarah Palin attached herself to Donald Trump’s Birther conspiracy this weekend, throwing more fuel on a fire that won’t quit. The question no one appears to be asking, though, is “Would it be such a big deal if Barack Obama were born elsewhere?”
“I appreciate that the Donald wants to spend his resources in getting to the bottom of something that so interests him and many Americans,” said Palin, whose popularity has been steadily slipping, of Trump’s Birther crusade.
“He’s not just throwing stones from the sidelines, he’s digging in, he’s paying for researchers to find out why President Obama would have spent $2 million to not show his birth certificate, so more power to him.”
While surely Palin simply wants to make herself relevant in someway, her remarks—and the entire racist Birther debate—made me wonder whether it would matter if Obama were born outside of the States.
Yes, our constitution says that president must be American made, but it also says that being born in the States gives you citizenship, an amendment the GOP, targeting “anchor babies,” is more than willing to kibosh, so why not remove the presidential restriction altogether?
We live in a post-globalization world. The strict geographical and political boundaries our Founding Fathers knew are long gone. No longer are Brits our enemies, and no longer do our political offices need protection from interlopers. Human travel has become more fluid, and allegiance to America is shared by people from all walks, and continents, of life.
A person does not run for president to take over, corrupt or destroy a nation. There is no Manchurian Candidate. A man or woman runs for the White House because they have the nation’s best interest in mind, even if they weren’t born here. It’s not as if the presidency is a career chosen willy-nilly, or for nefarious purposes. It takes over your entire life.
If you need some proof, check out what Obama says he misses most about his pre-White House life: “I just miss – I miss being anonymous. I miss Saturday morning, rolling out of bed, not shaving, getting into my car with my girls, driving to the supermarket, squeezing the fruit, getting my car washed, taking walks. I can’t take a walk.”
Obama’s life—and that of his family—has forever been changed. Not because he wants to erode our nation or is some alien invader, but because he cares about this country and wants to do what’s best for it, just like any other person who runs for president. Even George W. Bush loved this nation and, despite his many, many mistakes, did what he thought was best.
It seems to me that today, the 21st Century, our highest office should be open to anyone who holds citizenship—whether by birthright or adoption—and who can win the voters’ hearts and minds. The rule stating presidents be born here is not only close-minded, it’s unnecessary, paranoid and archaic.

Aw. Ain’t that sweet? If you’re that sweet, you get to ignore the constitution.
Eric Holder would have to be recused as the chief attorney, and there hasn't been a court or judges willing, able or not complicit with the coverup. Corruption in government and our press has been unprecedented and has allowed the eligibility of this president to be uncontested and unchallenged so far
Our elected representatives for the most part have their thumbs in their wazoos, their tongues are silent and they have no concern about the likely possibility they are serving under a president who gained the job in fraudulent defiance of the Constitution and Rule of Law of this nation. Clearly Nancy Pelosi et al are no doubt accessories to this possible crime and likely know full well the answer to the question most Americans are asking.

America...if your president just gets in 8 minutes of work a day... you might want to think about a trade-in!!!
When we see these sentiments in the New York Times, then we’ll know they are really sweating.

There have always been men that sought personal power via the ballot box; who were interested in attaining public office so they could use it for personal power. Rome, for example, was founded as a democracy, and ended up a dictatorship. That was over 2,000 years ago.

Obama has done more golf-course walking as president than any other president in recent memory. By the time he’s done with his term, he likely also will have done more foreign travel than any other president ever. It’s hard to take seriously a man who whines that his job requires him to shave every day.

Sarah Palin did not “[attach] herself to Donald Trump’s Birther conspiracy this weekend, throwing more fuel on a fire that won’t quit.” She was asked where she thinks Obama was born and she said “I think he was born in Hawaii”, going on to explain about the newspaper birth announcements. She was then asked what does she think about Trump making noise about the issue, and then spoke the words quoted in the article. Her comment about Trump was simply to say he can do with his money whatever interests him. She was clearly not agreeing with him.
The quotes in this article clearly are taken out of context to deliberately mislead. George Stephanopolis did the same thing on ABC this morning.

Never heard of this Bolonsky guy, so I googled him. Earliest mention was Sept 9 2010. Kinda curious, don’t you think, that a guy like this would just all of a sudden appear. Got a pretty impressive blog too. Queer as a 3 dollar bill, but, whatever.
