Is Palin Condoning Assassinating Assange?
Newser ^ | December 1, 2010 | Mary Papenfuss, Newser Staff

Sarah Palin yesterday accused Julian Assange of a "treasonous" act, and urged the US to "use all necessary means" to hunt him down like an al-Qaeda terrorist. Sounds an awful lot like calling for Assange to be taken out, notes Peter Grier at the Christian Science Monitor. Palin is also pushing a link on her Facebook page to William Kristol's position that the CIA "neutralize" the WikiLeaks founder.

Assange hasn't yet been charged with a crime linked to the leaks, notes Grier. In any case, the US can't charge him with "treason" because treason only occurs when a citizen turns on his own country, and Assange is a citizen of Australia. "Death to Assange" seems to be a growing drumbeat among conservatives, notes the Monitor. While Bill O'Reilly has called for his trial and execution, Palin and Kristol appear to be leaning to something decidedly extra-judicial.

And Mary has a problem with that? These jourbalists have no idea what the people on Main Street think. I suppose Mary thinks that Army private was justified in leaking all these documents since he was "bullied" for being homosexual...

Treason
the offense of attempting by overt acts to overthrow the government of the state to which the offender owes allegiance

Assange must be an American.

“.....Palin and Kristol appear to be leaning to something decidedly extra-judicial.”

I’ve been having “extra-judicial” thoughts on this myself.

Okay, couldn’t Australia charge him? Surely he’s broken the espionage laws of almost every country in the world. And when will PFC Bradley Manning get a small business and a villa in Tahiti?

I’m not sure there would be much point in it. The people who are behind the leaks will simply find another outlet.

Someone best tell Mary that Assange is a funny little foreign guy who lives beyond the reach of our judicial system ~ and he's turned himself into an enemy alien.

We are in a war and he can be just another dead body in the street.

She can also be just another dead body in the street for carrying Assange's water ~ kind of like a modern day "Tokyo Rose" ~ Note: the character was performed by a number of English speaking Japanese girls. One was prosecuted.

They can run but ultimately they can’t hide. It is currently possible to track down anyone on Earth provided he taps into the communications grid.

We can call it "espionage" then. Just kill him and get it over with.

They guy needs a visit from the umbrella guy.

I remember this story and had to look it up.... \Umbrella Murder

On 7 September 1978, Bulgarian dissident Georgi Markov walked across Waterloo Bridge spanning the River Thames, and was waiting at a bus stop on the other side, when he was jabbed in the calf by a man holding an umbrella. The man apologized and walked away. Markov would later tell doctors that the man had spoken with a foreign accent. The event is recalled as the “Umbrella Murder” with the assassin claimed to be Francesco Gullino, codenamed “Piccadilly”.

Markov recalled feeling a stinging pain from where he had been hit, he assumed by the umbrella tip. When he arrived at work at the BBC World Service offices he noticed a small red pimple had formed and the pain from being jabbed had not stopped. He told at least one of his colleagues at the BBC about this incident. That evening he developed a fever and was admitted to a hospital where he died three days later, on 11 September 1978, at the age of 49. The cause of death was poisoning from a ricin-filled pellet.

I tinks he is just a front man for a larger conspiracy...I do not think it unfolded with just one gay pal,,, there is more to the breadth and depth of the information. There are many American detractors out there and in the White House...
AND he will be bagged either way. Its just time.

The other solution is to wait until the Swedes get their hands on him for the rape charges and then have them play 70s-era Swedish disco videos over and over again until he kills himself.

“Leaking”, which liberals tend to confuse with “whistleblowing” should be dealt with harshly. One is moral and ethical, the other can rise to treason.

Assange is the poster boy for why there are ricin tipped umbrellas.

Boy, aren’t the MSM robots obsessed with what Sara says? Or, in this case, what they speculate she may want to say. What losers!

Fuss you Papenfuss. This is how a Commander in Chief is supposed to sound when our secrets are stolen and American lives are on the line. Obama could not be bothered to make an official statement.

There are clear difference and they are crucial to Americas survival.
