The Mongols Nation motorcycle club is seeking more than $11 million from the city for alleged defamation of character and violation of its members' civil rights. In a lawsuit filed June 25, Mongols Nation attorney Albert Perez Jr. accused Lancaster's City Council and city manager of libeling and slandering members of the club, depriving them of their civil rights under color of state law, interfering with a contractual relationship for lodging and food, and inflicting emotional distress.
Because of the alleged wrongs, the motorcycle club is asking the Los Angeles Superior Court to order the city to pay $5 million in general damages as well as unspecified special and punitive damages, plus a penalty of $25,000 for each of about 250 plaintiffs whose civil rights allegedly were violated, as well as reimbursement of fees for attorneys and experts.
Attorney William Litvak said the Mongols' lawsuit was still being reviewed.
However, the club's contention that the city closed the Desert Inn as a pretext to prevent the organization from having an event in Lancaster was inaccurate, he said.
"There were significant code violations that were more than tax issues," Litvak said.
In the documents filed in court, the Mongols' attorney described the club as a "social and fraternal organization designed to foster and promote political, social, economic, educational, religious or cultural viewpoints with an emphasis on riding, operating and maintaining motorcycles
The federal Department of Justice on its web sites and criminal filings has assessed the Mongols organization as one of the nation's most violent motorcycle gangs whose membership has been implicated or found guilty in drug dealing, conspiracy to murder, and murder itself. Earlier this year, 20 members of the gang, including its former president, Ruben "Doc" Cavazos, pleaded guilty to racketeering in federal court

She sounds like a really cool lady. Sorry to hear about your loss.
No we never wore those. Nor any rockers.
Thanks
Generally speaking, those who make claims that they cannot or will not substantiate are usually posers and liars that don’t deserve anything but contempt.
Generally those that bristle the most about verifying their claims are the biggest posers and liars of the bunch.
Generally, although exceptions do occur.
So are MCs generally populated with judges and doctors or not?
I think we all know the answer...they are the exceptions that do occur.
I’d say that asking for what you are asking for is impossible to prove and I am not a liar or poser....we all mostly thought that fit you much better. :)
I answered yes once already do you bother to read anything except yur own posts? *eyeroll*
You’re a jerkoff in need of a good ... biker lesson. Hang around a couple of biker bars you poser and you’ll get one ... well deserved
Poser? Look at your own studio style pic!
I ride about seven times the national average for motorcycle owner and don’t give a damn about you or others, clubs or not.
Guys like you are cowardly bullies needing groups to back up your bluster.
I busted you in an exaggeration and you didn’t like it so you insult me and threaten me.
Thin skinned crybaby.
I’m going to tell you what dickwad. You just keep doing what your doing. Some day your alligator mouth and your humming bird ass is going to find itself in major trouble in the REAL biker world. I hope you don’t get your ass kicked to bad cause you’re a freeper. But you’re also a smart assed punk and an ass kicking looking for a place to happen. I would steer clear of ANY patch members if I were you. Cause with your mouth your gonna get your butt kicked sooner or later. That’s friendly advise. Especially if you talk to a 3 patch 1%er like me like you did. Guarenteed.
I belong to a 1% MC. For the record, I don't commit crimes, or threaten people (especially on the internet), or post pictures of myself on the internet.
Guys like you are cowardly bullies needing groups to back up your bluster.
I understand that this probably wasn't directed at ALL MC folks, but I'll take exception on behalf of my Brothers.
The purpose of the "group" isn't to intimidate or threaten, but to ensure our security both on the road (we ride very fast, and very, very tight), and off (every beer joint has a couple of "tough guys"). We tend to mind our own business, and don't look for trouble... it has a way of showing up often enough these days anyway, regardless of WHO you are.
I've been around the MC world for a long time. Never met a 1% doctor or lawyer. (or Indian Chief, for that matter.) Not saying they don't exist, just that I have never met one. I can't even imagine them having the time to invest. MC membership is almost a full time job, in addition to the one most of us work to pay the bills and cover all of the travel expenses, club dues, etc.
I enjoyed reading the thread, though. Thanks to all for the chuckles.
Exactly.
I've hear that phrase about judges and doctors enough times that I finally decided to call someone on it and, well....you saw the results.
You'll never find anytime I've said that 1%er = criminal. In fact on other threads I've strongly argued the point that MCs are not criminal organizations yada yada yada. Earlier in the thread I did say that some notable clubs attract prospects who are willing to commit felonies as needed and I don't think there is any dispute to that.
Problem is that those clubs often have support clubs with some members who are trying to make their mark and don't really care who gets in the way.
An ex next door neighbor was a patch holder and the club partied at his house as well as mine. Mostly cool guys who had regular jobs along with the couple of knuckleheads you find in any crowd. The wives mostly got along and all the kids played well together. There was a real estate agent, a guy who owned a trucking company, and a service tech with ATT. Anyway, I was welcome to party with or hang out and did, but I declined offers that would lead to more involvement and prospecting. I have no interest in being in an MC. Not my thing. Don't care for the rules. Eventually they decided to go 1% AND come under the wing of the dominant club in the area and so I went a different direction.
Outside of toy rallies, PGR missions and things like that I don't care for group rides or rallies. I don't like "biker bars". I don't own a bike to ride to the tavern on weekends. But so what? Weather permitting I ride 100 miles per day during the week in Houston rush hour traffic and 200-400 on weekends. Rarely do I know where I'm headed when I leave the driveway.
I am also one of those that will stop if I see you stopped on the side of the road needing help.
Anyway, that being said I ride because I like to and if I'm not qualified to be a "real biker"...oh well!
LOL. Good attitude.
This kind of reminds me of some of the crap I read right here on FR with people accusing one another of not being a "real" Christian. To me, it's in your heart, and if you are one... you know it.
Quick story: back when I first patched in, I was, shall we say "a little full of myself". An older, more experienced, and much wiser Brother bought me a beer and said "Never go out of your way to be an asshole to the non patch holding motorcycling community. In fact, be nice. Without those folks in the motorcycle lobby, we'd be toast in six months. There are not enough of us to keep the Feds from legislating us out of existence or making riding a motorcycle more hassle than it is worth. Unless they are acting like a jerk, and need to be "educated", be decent to them."
That advice has served me well

I hear ya. That's why a lot of Club folks are getting away from the choppers, and even the Dyna's. More and more, you are seeing Road Glides, Street Glides, and even Ultra's. My Ultra is nearly a year old, and will turn over 18000 miles this weekend. Club business keeps you in the road.
Anyway, I enjoyed the thread. My favorites are always the MC threads, and the "Cops shoot dog/ go to the wrong house/ tazer a four year old/ etc. threads. Plenty of controversy LOL.
You mixed it up, and gave as good as you got. The "studio picture" line was priceless!
Respects.
Can someone ask Sgt Hulka to please pick up the red courtesy phone?
Actually the picture was taken at a bikini bike wash we held at our club house. But you are right and I took down the picture. I’m supposed to know better than to be advertising my affiliations.
Respects to you
Thanks a million...and btw, my grandfather was a patch holder who rode Indians and my father was a part owner in a bike/RV shop so it isn’t like I saw the first season of Sons of Anarchy and went out to get a bike! Been licensed on motorcycles for uh...30+ years.
Ride safe.
One pet peeve, though... tell the Baby Doll with the Ruger MK II... FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER! LOL.
