Please see post 101; PA Engineer was trumpeting how Apple was open, free, and democratizing when I think we both agree it’s about as closed and controlled as you can get.
They make good products; I’m not denying that at all. But it’s hardly the open bastion of freedom and democracy some try to portray.

Let's see...
Apple has done a great service to the American people.
At a profitable price, mind you. Apple provides terrific products, and I have a good number of them; I've been an Apple customer for about 30 years. As groovy as Steve Jobs appears, he's first and foremost an excellent CEO, and his business is to return on his stockholders' investment, which he does admirably. Love for his customers and service to the American people is secondary.
They have democratize the free flow of information once controlled by occupation elites.
I have no idea what this means. I'm inclined to suggest to PA Engineer that he check, maybe he missed his evening meds. A re-phrasing is needed, at a minimum.

I agree, but this is an internet forum. Oddness is to be expected.
How about just moving on to a different topic and leaving these folks alone. It’s no skin off your back if they like Apple.
