I'm afraid I'm not aware of a secret cabal attacking Free Republic. My frame of reference is this thread. On this thread there has been one person who has tried to interject logic and legal basis to the discussion. He has not received one rational argument in reply. Instead, there has been a 'cabal' of people screaming about him being a troll, a paid operative, a liar, a homosexual and a hundred other things. They ping each other and feverishly search his posting history for proof of his lack of allegiance to their cause.

No one has yet given a reasoned response to anything he has asked. They scream "TROLL!" with such fervor that I imagine they must be leaving spittle flecks on their monitors. Then they fantasize about his personal life and comment to each other about their fantasies. It is groupthink. It is a monolith of self perpetuating conspiracy. They ignore any comments that do not fit their preconceived 'facts'.

If you are looking for a cabal I've found one. The cabal is not the ones asking questions. It is those who absolutely refuse to allow any questions or disagreement.

If you do not frequent these threads as you say then you have no reference point, we that do are quite familiar with percy as well as the others who show up and do what they do.

Many who are familiar with him know there is no recourse with him other than ridicule as there is no debate with him. The reason they don't give answers to him is because it is the same thing over and over, the questions have been answered a thousand times, yet he keeps asking.

That's right. You aren't aware of it. But there is. Besides repeated DOS and DNS attacks, there has been groups of new signups. Guess where they head? Obama eligibility threads. And then there are some older posters who haven't used their accounts in years. All of a sudden, they start posting. Tons of posts. Guess where?

So yes. You are unaware.

Those who refuse to allow any questions or disagreements are those who try to blow off the whole birth certificate issue with pejoratives if *birthers* and *mob*, instead of agreeing to investigate the issue and prove that their guy is eligible to be president.

Are you now claiming to agree with the people asking questions? Do you really want everyone to know the answers? Or do you still think it's unreasonable to ask Obama any questions?
