Well, I have seen it, we have it in the records, and he was born in Hawaii, but no I can’t give you a copy or confirm the information for you.

Shoot dude, they don’t have to give me a copy, just confirm that the information online matches Hawaii’s Records and is a legitimate Certificate in terms of the information that’s on it.

But their own ADministrative Rules say they can give anybody who asks for it a non-certified copy of the abbreviated birth certificate (COLB).
So there is no reason for them to say they can’t give it to me. Why, then, do they refuse to follow their rules and the law which requires them to release any documents authorized for release?
