And uncompressed TIF "tops out" at whatever size the uncompressed TIF tops out at.

The photograph was taken with a Nikon CoolPix 990 with picture quality set on "HI." This produces an image that is 2048 x 1536 pixels and it saves the image as an uncompressed TIF file instead of a compressed JPG file. And in this case, the file size was 9.1MB.
I can't speak to anything more than the size of the file created by the camera.
