Normally that title is reserved for the man in the Oval Office but that all changed this past Wednesday when Alan Grayson used his time on the floor of the House to offer up a "cute" presentation, complete with placards describing the three step Republican health plan. According to Grayson, the Republican plan is as follows: 1. Don't get sick. 2. If you do get sick... 3. Die quickly. According to him this is all he's heard from the Republican side of the argument. No alternate plan or suggestions. Alan has either been asleep or simply wasn't listening all summer during the debates. He claims his outrage or buffoonish behavior, was brought on by a recent Harvard study that claims over 44,000 uninsured Americans die each year in this country. What he fails to understand is that having insurance is no guarantee that you will live and the insurance plan the Democrats offer is nothing like the Cadillac plan he enjoys as a member of Congress, so there's no guarantee you'll be any better off with what they offer. The trivializing of the issue is not really what's so insulting to the public, it's that he likens the 44,000 dead to the Holocaust of World War II. He does so with no regret or apology.
The most horrific and sickening event of man's inhumanity to man in the 20th Century. Six million Jews were exterminated during Hitler's reign over Nazi Germany. Sent to death by mass firing squads, or from suffering in death camps and the gas chambers. No one knows how many may have been burned alive in the ovens. Men, women, and children who suffered horrors unimaginable and indescribable to the human race. If you count the numbers of other ethnic, political and religious groups, along with prisoners of war, the number approaches 17 million. Alan Grayson dares to belittle that memory and equate it to the current health care debate? To marginalize such a time in history with some clownish performance on the floor of the House? The man truly is a fool, as are any of his constituents who support him.
There is no need to apologize Alan. By focusing the cameras on yourself, you have shown the world what a smug, insensitive ass you are. If you really cared about meaningful health care reform, you might want to get together with your boss. You're both lawyers, perhaps you could introduce some legislation on tort reform? Yeah, right!....Here's hoping your first term is your last. The picture below is my parting shot for you!

Edisto Joe.
Perception is still reality. People who think a “public option” (i.e. government health care) think they will have high quality health care on the government’s dime. They don’t understand that with government health care, their health care will diminish to bare minimum levels.
That’s what this issue is missing. No one has explained to these dimwits that the “quality” of care they will receive from the government will be less than they can get currently by going to a hospital emergency room and waiting for indigent care.
If you want a sample of “free” government health care, visit a VA clinic.
Most of the plans that are in congress don’t do anything to reduce costs. They transfer costs from insurance to taxpayers. The main legislation offered by the Democrats creates 67 new government agencies. How is that going to cut costs?
Grayson got elected to the traditionally Republican 8th District by the same percentage of votes Obama received, riding on his coattails. At the same time, conservatives were angered at the GOP incumbent Ric Keller for turning against Bush during Iraq’s darkest hour. And there’s no doubt ACORN affected Grayson’s win. Grayson knows he’ll probably be defeated in 2010 so he might as well become a celebrity. He might land a TV job or a czarship at the White House.
they wont even have the worst of coverage they have now...but of course obama would rather spend time helping the chicago mafia buy olympics than help the country....no healthcare bill at all would help
So they need another Ponzi scheme to continue funding the original Ponzi scheme.
