“5) Most damning of all, the font used is Schmutz, which was invented in 1995.”

This is an interesting observation. Any independent FR confirmations of this possible?

OOPs! Sorry, Freepers already on top of this. Per post 2568 here it looks like the purported Schmutz font may not be what DU claims!

Don't be a Schmutz

“5) Most damning of all, the font used is Schmutz, which was invented in 1995.”

Schmutz (also shmuts, (shmŭtz or shmootz) is a Yiddish word of direct German derivation. It can be a noun, a verb, or an adjective.

As in the original German, its use in Yiddish as a noun can designate a range of types of unpleasant substances from any kind of soil such as mud or dust to thick or ground-in dirt such as soot or grass stains. More strongly, and less accurately, it's used to indicate a particularly foul or repulsive matter such as animal waste, or poop, or the fuzzy stuff found growing in the jar way at the back of the fridge. A Jewish comedian once raised schmutz to the exalted status of “dirt that moves.”

I haven't found a full set of Schmutz, but the 4 in the ones I found has an open top. The typewritten text in the document has closed-top 4's. So it is surely not Schmutz.

Salamander posted an image of the font for the typewriter ... the lettering matches and it is not ‘1995’ font. DU is a democrat dump, democrats lie, DU spreads the lies they are fed.

This has already been debunked. The difference between the two is the opening at the top of the 4. This could not be Schmutz. Someone already stated this earlier!

This is just more static thrown into the air to see what sticks. The form is showing monospaced typeface which were designed for typewriters. Typewriter spacing could only move in the same distance forward as the character typed. The lettering lines up. Further, "student" was corrected by a typeover.

I don't want to age myself, but this typeface looks very similar to what I used in college on a manual typewriter.
