Using my genealogical web site, I find a great deal of information on him. Since his dates of existence are 1895-1979, it may not be of much import. He was taken in the Catholic religion as Onyona Obama ( as I read it). He converted to the Muslim religion and then called himself Hussein Onyanga Obama. I got his military citation serving in the 4th African Rifles, on the side of the British. He was badly abused by the British when he took part in "seditious activities". This was after WW2.

Now here is something which may be of some interest, but has to be taken carefully. I just realised my monthly subscription to this premier site with a fantastic reputation, the cost is worth it, but pricey. I then put in on the search the name "Obama". I spent some time and then saw "obituaries".

To my chagrin some joker had put in "Obama" at the head of the index. It was exactly in the format. The three further information downloads switched to (1) A Chicago writer- who chronicled the working people in the depression. (2) A Canadian Airforce War hero. (3) The first muslim Canadian cabinet minister.

I will contact the genealogical site tommorrow and inform them of this business. I presume it is some two bit prankster. If not, then I am afraid those who seek to obscure and deliberately hack into information, are cleverer than I thought.
