McCain is a Political Coward

Posted on 11/06/2008 10:22:53 AM PST by TheRogueRepublican

McCain rips repubs throughout the election and didn't attack BO. Now that he got his clocked cleaned...his aides are out trying to destroy Palin.

With him sitting on the sidelines not saying a thing, he is showing his true colors. Country First my ass....he is trying to keep his own legacy a float by letting this happen. This shows his true political cowardice.

I am a conservative through and through. The only reason that I decided to support McCain is the addition of Palin to his ticket. She is a conservative and it scares the Dems and the RINOS.

It is time to take this party back and start fighting for keeps. I am tired of bringing knives to gunfights.

I regret swallowing and voting for McCain. I wish he had lost by a landslide. He has been a POX on the republican party and I am afraid he still has an undue amount of influence.

Ever been in a real physical fight with more than one person at a time?

It is pretty tough to fight when you have someone at your back. This is why you need to know that the people on “your team” aren’t actually part of the guys you’re fighting.

We don’t need to give them publicity. We need to destroy them, so they won’t be hired by any campaign ever again. We don’t need the press to destroy them. We just need to expose them to the conservative movement, and that won’t happen via the MSM anyway.

Right now we don’t have any political power, and neither do the RINO’s. There will be no ability to “beat” them politically until conservatives gain the upper hand, right?

And just how do you intend to gain political power while you’re fighting a rear-guard action against people supposedly on your own team?

This, as I’ve pointed out, is now an established pattern over four elections: Bush Sr, Dole, Bush Jr. and now McCain. Go back and re-read all the “internal gossip” in the press surrounding Bush Sr’s campaign coming on the end of Reagan’s second term. You can see that these hack deemed Reagan to be a rube, dangerous, etc, and they were hoping for Bush Sr. to be more “moderate” and all the usual pap.

This is not a new fight. Remember Reagan’s classic “I paid for this microphone!” — that was Reagan going up against the rockafeller RINO’s - in that case, Bush Sr.

They must be destroyed. There’s not much we can do about Obama - exposing Obama to “the public” is silly right now. Every POTUS has a honeymoon period, during which most people other than hard-core opposition will disregard all detractors and wait for actual actions from the new POTUS to make a judgment.

We should use the Obama honeymoon to destroy the moderates.

We have a Marxist in the white house and now we need a Stalinist to purge our party. Send em to the Gulag (southeast DC).

Country First my ass....he is trying to keep his own legacy a float by letting this happen. This shows his true political cowardice.

I worked hard to get McCain elected because, in the words of another FReeper, "only Obama could make me vote for McCain".

This is my view of McCain's legacy:

Bob Dole redux.

That is a serious insult to Bob Dole. Bob Dole never attacked the Constitution.

President Bush was given no such quarter! He was trashed moment by moment for 8 years. It helped write the narrative for the public.

We have been trying to destroy the rinos for decades, while ignoring the MSM and the UnAmerican Democrat Party.

But they are the same, all of them, the MSM, the DNC, and the Rino’s that abet them.

The few Conservatives on the Hill will not hire them, of course. And the moderates will always be there.

In order to destroy the RINO's credibility, we must destroy their vehicle to power.

Hussein, the UnAmerican Democrat Party and their MSM.

Another McCain troll. LOL

Seriously, you people need to just go away. You, the McCain List, anyone who defends McCain after running a truly awful campaign and trying desperately to dump the blame on Sarah Palin and conservatives.

Concentrating on exposing Hussein and his MSM to the public should be our only missions.

Start with Emmanuel. That Obama should pick someone with as much obvious baggage as him will poison his administration from the get-go. I'm happy to work for the good of the country, but appointing Rahm Emmanuel as your chief of staff says to me that Obama is NOT serious about casting a conciliatory tone.

Yes, have ANY Conservatives on the Hill, or at the RNC, slammed this choice to the MSM?

To all of you crying RINO, centrists, not staying with the GOP crowds.

Let me lay a few clues on you before you go off the deep end.

One, the RINO's are going to be with us, no matter how you try to get rid of them, there is enough lambs wool to go around.

Two, leaving the GOP means leaving a complete financial organization from business to government insight. Don't cut your nose off.

Three, The structure of the Republican party is what needs to change. Remove the 'old Guard' that FORGOT what Reagan did to win and win big, and we will be ok.

Four, this election should have woken you up to what kind of candidates we need not only running as candidates, but running for office. Start identifying them now, start supporting them now. 2 years from now, half the Senate and half the House is up for election, That is when we need to exert control of the party.

Wrong, moron. I'm just someone who thinks its downright dumb to call McCain a coward and if you read my post you'd know that. In fact, McCain has defended Palin more than once in public. There is always finger pointing when you lose a campaign.

>>>>>Seriously, you people need to just go away.

Seriously, NO! I've been smashing malcontents like you for 9 years around this forum and I kinda like it. Btw, who did you vote for?

Stop it. Just stop it. Please. There’s no credibility left in your neo-conservative realm. Trolling with pro-McCain crap is despicable.

FYI, I voted for Palin. I still felt ill because McCain’s name was attached. His campaign was an embarrassment and anyone who voted for him in the primary should be truly ashamed of themselves.

Yeah, that's my plan. I am in the corporate world, so I can't really join a fringe 3rd party and be taken seriously.

I certainly won't vote or register as a Democrat, but the GOP of Reagan that shaped my adolescent years has disappeared. The way the McCain camp is treating Palin right now is making my blood boil. I've had it with these clowns. I'll be an Indy and send any campaign contributions to 527 groups that support causes that I feel strongly about.

So you voted for McCain-Palin, just like I did and just like the vast majority of FReepers did. LOL

So I guess your bitter whining and throwing temper tantrums is just your way of making yourself feel better. You're nothing but a just a crybaby.

I agree. Find a good conservative Republican to run against McCain for the senate in 2010... when he let his people trash Palin he screwed up...
