What’s so funny is you probably thought this would insult me. But, I wear my feminazi badge with pride.

You know your completely unfair, OVER THE TOP, snarky comment deserved the completely unfair, OVER THE TOP, snarky response I gave it.

I gather you were none-too-happy about being profiled for your dick BUT we all know men’s brains are completely at the mercy of their dicks—like savages, they’ll kill the b*tch and worry about it later. Did it bother you at all to be called a knuckleheaded, testosterone-driven bully. It sucks to be stereotyped and degraded based on gender.

But, you probably don’t care a bit that I compared you to a date-rapist. Because you don’t live in a ‘woman’s world.’

Please indulge me with an open mind:

Imagine if you met with the label of ‘date-rapist’ daily and, in fact, most American men were routinely degraded, judged, stereotyped and made vulunerable because they are all, of course: prone to violence, unable to control their emotions or their hormones—dangerous—as a result, your salary is 25% lower than what you actually bring home.

Imagine if ruthless people stalked men like you who are easily MISUNDERSTOOD and easily targeted as ‘potential date rapists’ and you are taunted—even in the most ‘joking’ of ways—but it is pervasive. You don’t get a fair say in government because, in general, no one wants to see a potential date-rapist shape policy—and, hey, they look MEAN.

Let’s suppose one fine day someone decides to pull a gun on you on the street just for walking down it ‘looking like a date rapist.’ (And darn, it’s the one day you forget to carry your gun, too)

Or surprise, maybe it’s your spouse who you trusted, someone you thought loved you enough to know you aren’t a date rapist and would never try to kill you.

I am not sure I can equate it any more clearly for you, but your comment deserved my OVER THE TOP and snarky response—and you know it.

Of course, it’s not fair and it’s probably not accurate. You are likely a perfectly nice man that needs a little enlightenment from a woman like me.

If we were making jokes together on my couch in my living room, for me, there’s nothing like a little harmless, porno humor to get me laughing. But when you are on a board like this, in the context of a political/social conversation—your comment suddenly becomes unfunny because this isn’t the place for it.

In case you haven’t noticed, women haven’t yet made it to the White House and we have a long ways to go in terms of leadership altogether. Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton met with excessive hate. It was painful to watch.

You should make a non-political thread, call it something like: “Gratuitous, sexist humor for the women we love.” And you shouldn’t be afraid to make clear you made the thread for harmless fun or to bring levity but not out of the effort to oppress. Who can argue this motivation? I wouldn’t if I saw less of this ‘humor’ mixed with news and political commentary. I always wind up questioning it’s funniness and intent, myself. Honestly, why would you want sexism coupled with social and political commentary, anyway? These are areas where women are still oppressed.

And, is it so tough to apologize for offending a woman? Practice that, you’ll like the results.

If you were to do this, I’d be the first to post a joke on your thread. I am certain you’d like it, too, if you haven’t already got it in your repertoire.
