It is always disappointing to be reminded that there are people in the world who do not like you so much that they are willing to debase themselves and others in order to get their way. We, as conservatives face this from the Left on a day to day basis. But when such action comes from another supposed Conservative, that is truly disappointing.
The posters at DU think nothing of swearing and posting the most filthy, perverted and twisted things about their political rivals. We here at FR are, for the most part, better than that. At least we try to be. Unfortunately, there's always someone who proves that both sides have their ugly side.
I have posted a number of pro-Mitt Romney threads recently as have many others. I discovered this afternoon that several of them have been the victims of childish and down right purile dirty tricks. Now, political dirty tricks are nothing new and nor are they uncommon on either side of the aisle. But some simply cross the line of decency. Such is the case with whomever played their little game of messing with the Keywords on these Pro-Romney threads. Here are four examples:

People, campaigning can be a hard and painful thing. You have to have a thick skin to run for office and heaven knows, all candidates take their blows, some more than others. But there is such a thing as decency. And this little prank doesn't just cross that line, it obliterates it.
Disagree with the thread? Fine. Present your arguments. You don't like the candidate? Great. Tell me why and make an attempt at intelligent conversation. That's the way this place is supposed to work. But, resorting to such sophomoric, vulgar and quite frankly bigoted childishness is beneath contempt. If you can't manage a reasonable level of maturity, then there's a whole bunch of like minds over at DU you can have fun with.
Except it's an invitation-only site from what I can see. And Salt River isn't a public forum.
You're being disingenious. And plus, others cached the content of the deleted thread in the open forum that discussed anti-freeping, so someone messed up and did it in the open.
Heck, at least Clown Posse anti-freepers didn't hide in the dark.

Frankly speaking, the mood and conduct on this forum degenerates more and more each election cycle.
The last big blowout was began with the Shiavo BS, and then ended with the "Wild Turkey Opus", as I call it.
This event began with attacks on those supporting Rudy, Romney or voicing disapproval of backing useless candidates who's only claim to fame is support of some cause that only "true conservatives" believe in. They now have morphed what once was issue advocacy, into so called "True Conservative Principles" and they reject anyone who does not embrace the same line of crap as they now demand as the entrance fee to carry the "conservative label"..
History is replete with this sort of demand for political purity on both sides of the spectrum, and it is called by many names.
You can call this one anything you like, but it is what it is. Nobody wants to leave. But when the desire for a comfortable place to post and exchange ideas overcomes the habit of membership and the realization that the group you joined is not the same any-longer, something has to be done. Members deal with this in differing ways, but it must be dealt with at some point.

BTW my first choice is Romney and what we get we have to hold our country togather with what the Lord thinks we deserve even if it is Rudy or whoever....

I wasn't invited, but I post there as MAF. In fact, it is the only other site I have ever posted as MAF on. Do you believe I'm an anti-freeper?
Pointing out the fact that Rudy is a New York liberal isn't causing problems, in fact it's trying to prevent them. Not letting the Rudy-pooters change up their candidates history is a good thing.
If you're looking for examples of govermental abuse, there's his various anti-2nd amendment actions, the gun manufacturers lawsuit was a clear attempt to circumvent the courts and Congress, both of whom rejected the concept.
Or at the core of his anti-crime efforts, the "stop and frisk" tactic, declared unconstitutional by the state Supreme Court, and fatal to a New Yorker or two.
I don't believe that Fierce Allegiance is a member of any anti-FReeping sites. From what I can tell it seems to mostly be Rudyites.
But not representiative of the entire US, as you say...
I have no way of knowing, given the Salt River hidden forum. What I've seen is that an anti-freep thread in the open forum over there was deleted within minutes of it being linked from FR. Someone messed up and did the anti-freeping in the open forum.
If y'all want a separate forum, that's your business. Just don't pretend that a hidden sub-forum isn't an indication of anti-freeping, coupled with evidence posted here and the attitudes of a fair number of the new members over there that they expressed on FR prior to going over there - and that are still expressed now.

One more thing, this is reminds me of fundamentalist Christians who run around deciding who is and isn’t a Christan based on their beliefs aka personal preferences alone. The irony of their behavior is that they can’t even seem to agree on what to believe within their own ranks.
Well, maybe you could talk to Ivan and have him open up Salt River. If there is no anti-freeping going on, open up the board and let everyone see for themselves.
