Melinda's First Song

The homecoming for Melinda seems more subdued and formal. Instead of a screaming crowd, Melinda is alone in a quiet room with the Tennessee governor and his wife as he reads the message from Randy. He wants her to sing a Whitney Houston song. "I believe in you ..."

I don't recognize it ...

Randy: "I wanted to throw you a little difficulty. I thought if she can do this she should win the grand prize. You did it, baby!"

Paula: "Fantastic. Amazing. One of your best performances."

Simon: "Very, very difficult song to sing. Your best performance in the last four weeks. Round 1 goes to Melinda."
