Elliott has had some success on the Indie label chart the past few weeks but his sales have fallen off considerably. I think his effort will be a reasonable start though. I hope that he will get involved with some better song writers and marketing people next time.
The fact that Elliott''s first single is just outside the top 40 on Mediabase is excellent, particularly since he doesn't have a big label behind him. Again, as of this morning's update, there were over 600 curent singles being tracked on the Pop chart. Pop is by far the hardest genre to break into and succeed. So Elliott has much to be proud of and draw encouragement from.
Not to take anything away from a new artist like Bucky, but he can break into the top 30 in Country so quickly simply because there are far fewer artists doing that genre. Country radio is hungry for new artists and new music.
