Melinda is very pretty...she has a real, soft, lady-like charm about her. This is a travesty—her voice is superb.
I do think this way is better for her career...just look at Chris Daughtry and Eliot Yamin. She gets to keep all the money she earns and doesn’t have to share it with American Idol.
Concur. She's quite attractive. .....and her personality has a lot to do with it. The good news is she'll now get to live her dream -- the life of a leading-lady singer.
I agree that Melinda's voice and delivery are top notch stage productions...but she didn't have any fans crying and screaming on her going-home video.
And in Nashville to boot!
I have to admit to sometimes thinking Melinda was better than this competition. She needed to do it, IMHO, to gain her confidence yet, unlike the other contestants, she doesn't need AI to 'make it' now that the public has heard her.
Like Taylor, I don't know if Melinda is marketable to the iTunes buying young adults but will do well touring and playing live once she is on HER stage singing HER songs. From gospel to Tina Turner..she can sing it all.
I'm pulling for Jordin now. Tho I will admit that Blake's beatbox thing is kinda cool to me when it's not overdone.
